Many of my friends read novels everyday. They concentrate more on novels than on class subjects.I don't like such attitude.Even though,if you like novels it should become a regular habit and it should be a hobby. I do accept reading novels increases your reading speed and increases your vocabulary. But do you think it is a good habit to read novels daily?

Reading is actually a good habit, but if it interferes with your study, you may want to reschedule your hobby. You should not compromise when it comes to school. You still have Sundays or holidays where you can read as many books as you like.

Well, doing anything to excess or having it interfere with more important things isn't good. But, you can read novels every day without it taking over your life. As long as it doesn't keep you from doing other things you need to do, I don't see it as a bad habit. Reading novels is fun and I would say less harmful than plenty other past times.

I think when you are in school you should focus on class room subjects, BUT you also need to balance that with something you enjoy doing. When I was in school I would read along with my textbooks. I enjoyed reading but class stuff was boring so I would seperate the two reading at different times. But I had to be sure the school stuff was done.

I do think that reading novels is a good habit to have. I do think that you can gain a lot by having this habit. You can certainly gain good reading skills from doing this. There are just so many benefits. That's probably why I read so much as I do.

Lots of people like to read, whether it's novels or biography's, whatever. Reading is a good habit, reading opens your mind to different thought, different possibilities. It is also wonderful for entertainment and enjoyment. It also widens your vocabulary.

I read graphic novels and manga all the time. I also write reviews of them and earn extra money and I volunteer at my local library. I enjoy it a lot and it gives me something to do.

Of course I think it's a good habit! I do it, I try to read everyday, but sometimes I can't do it because of high school homework (I have a lot of homework to do). It's nice that your friends read everyday, I'd love having friends like yours, 'cause mine don't like reading and consider reading a waste of time and a boring way to spend time. They prefer playing video-games or watching T.V. So be happy to have good friends!

I think reading novels is ok if it doesn't interfere between your studies or works that need to be done. I actually love reading novels and think it also helps build your imagination power.

I don't have anything against reading novels daily or all the time, because I love reading novels! I won't say that people who love reading novels should only read novels at the right time because I don't have the right to tell them when or where to read. But as for me, I only read novels in the right places and at the right time. I love reading when I have vacant hours, or if I'm waiting fro something and there's nothing to do.,

I know exactly what your talking about many people take reading novels as a hobby and sometimes when you're trying to communitcate with them they will ignore you because they're reading the book- when they do that once, i think the book must be really interesting so i won't be bothered. But if that's really often of course it would bother me. I think reading a novel should be as a part of increasing your vocabulary or spending when your on the bus/Before going to sleep/ or on your spare time but not in class time. I think that's just too too much.

I love reading novels, especially thriller ones. And it actually helps with my vocabulary. But I only read during leisure time, or before I go to sleep, and I make sure it doesn't interfere with more important stuff.
