Well, right now I'm broke. Mylot isn't helping too much with the rate it pays me at to reply to every single post... -_- I'll try to do that all on my spare time. But this weekend and next week I'm busy with attending photoshoots (for free to help out a friend) and doing my own graduation shoot as well. The thing is... I cannot afford clothing! I refuse to leave my house sometimes if I do not have something new to wear at least 2 - 3 months. Not every damn week I want clothes, 2 or 3 months would be alright to get something new every now and then. For my photoshoot next week to help build my portfolio (pin-up modeling) and my friend's (the photographer)... I need something awesome to stand out. I helped her with capturing peoples interests already with Kijiji which is awesome! And I'm happy that she would use the opportunity as a learning process for new techniques also be able for her talents to grow and flourish. I've decided to resort to shopping at Value Village... _ I've never shopped there till last Tuesday when I was excited to buy great quality mannequin heads for only $2.99! -_- Compare at Sally's Beauty Supply & Ebay prices... I know some people say it's a Goodwill store on steroids, but there are some new stuff aside from the donations people stock up... You just gotta check them out right? I use to shop at Giant Tiger, Walmart, and the other department stores whenever they've got a sale going on... But it's hard to find a job on my end. I wish I could find a new one soon to save up for moving. I'm looking for a gothic wedding gown kinda frayed to make me have that Evanescence Amy Lee look for one of my photos. Then I'll use my never before seen in public white short cocktail dress that my boyfriend picked for me last year which is sexy and it's 1 out of the 3 choices I had made him pick when we were shopping... Apparently I look better in white than black since I wear too much of it. Aaand then there's my spy/agent dress-up for the photoshoot. So yea, it feels weird to shop somewhere new doesn't it? Have you shopped at a thrift store? What was your experience?

Oh man, well I'm sorry you're going through economic trouble (a lot of people are these days). I have to say..Even though I have a normal, alright-paying full time job I really love shopping at thrift stores regardless. I shop at this one Goodwill Outlet that has "values by the pound" - literally. You pay like $2 per pound of clothes you buy (yes, they weigh it). It can be a little gross in concept but I have found some VERY AMAZING clothes at great great deals from a variety of brands...designer....Target brands...Cute stuff. Of course my biggest problem with this is that I tend to over-shop knowing that it's so cheap. The best thing to do until you have more of a cashflow is just to buy what you need and none of the frills and unnecessary stuff.

that's not rock bottom. there's lots of good things to be found in charity shops, and you can end up with clothes that aren't the same as everyone elses. why do you refuse to leave the house without new clothes? come on, are you really so shallow? if people judge you by when you last bought clothes, then their opinion is of no value at all.
