For me reading the Bible is as important as breathing. It is through the Bible that we got to know God's saving grace and His greatest love ever demonstrated to us. Since it is God's breath, it worth respecting and important that we got to give a portion of our time reading it.
When we cease to read His words and pray, He for sure will cease to bless us. So how important is reading the Bible for you?

I used to read the bible every night, but I stopped a few years ago, and I actually feel guilty about it. Plus the fact that reading the bible or reading inspirational stories really gives me a sense of comfort. And since I'm always in front of the computer, I subscribed to a website that sends me a daily inspirational stories and quotes. =)

What are the reasons you stop reading the Bible?
You felt that when you read it gives you comfort, its because God is working in you, healing your heart. We need to read it, so we can be guided with our everyday decisions and actions. Building a connection with Him through reading His words and through praying are the best things we could offer to Him. If we cease to pray, it's possible that He would cease to bless us. So keep reading The Bible and be in prayers. It's the best shield that we got against the worldly temptations.

A few years ago I started with a job which consumed all my energy and time. Like I work for 12-13 hours almost everyday, so when I get home, I'm already too tired and will go to sleep right away. So that's the reason why I wasn't able to read the bible anymore. Don't worry, I never stopped praying though. =)
And now I'm going back to reading, because I already resigned from that job. =)

For me I read the Bible several times a week. I would like to increase my Bible reading to every day, but sometimes I do let life get in the way. And sometimes church. I help with Sunday School at my church, I go to Bible study, sing with the praise team and I'm in charge of the character building group for girls grades 6 through 8 grade. I stay pretty active but wish sometimes I could slow down to just read and study!

Thank you. I plan to continue all that I do in my church. I just need to find the balance between doing the work around there and finding time to study and nurture my own personal relationship with God. It is nice to help others along the way, but I think we shouldn't neglect our personal walk while doing so.

Hello stacy, i am so happy to hear this things from you. God has really blessed you. Your being pretty active in church activities is God plans for you and i know He wanted you to continue that. If reading the Bible pleases God how much more doing His work done by you through helping the His children with character building.
How about prayer meeting? For me it's the life of the church. Good day stacy.

I have read the Bible several times but not recently. I found it to be an interesting collection of Jewish folklore and myth but beyond its interest as a classical reference it really has little relevance in my life.

Hello Chiang_Mai_boy. I am happy that you have read the Bible and not just once but several times. It's never a coincidence that you have read it but its God's plan for you. Just open your heart When you read it and not for reason to entertain you. I know God would work through your heart.

I sometimes read the bible but not always.
Reading the bible is very important, friend. Because it will guide your entire life of doing good and away from doing evils. Reading the bible also give you an opportunity to search the truth. You can find where God command us where to belong. Because as we there are many religions today which is telling lie about salvation...

Yup! You right for that, friend. But we don't avoid to know that there are other people who does not believe in the bible...
They have their own books of salvation. But if they expand their search who really the best book in all times...they maybe know and believe the bible which is the words of God

I know it's really hard to read the Bible everyday. But if we try to practice it like before we get out of bed at least we could read 1 chapter or few verses would be a great start.
Another thing is i wanted to share it with you, i usually listen to the Bible instead of reading. I guess it's just the same thing. I downloaded this YouVersion of the Bible to my phone and i could listen it everywhere i go and anytime i want to.

I read the bible. For me it still God's word and I treat it as such. I think it is a amazing thing really and has something for everyone. I did what the bible told me do, put the thoughts in my heart. If we need help God is there and we can be thankful for that if we want.

I thank god for working in your heart. I am hoping that you would always be reading the Bible and always be in prayers to thank God for His greatness and His great love to us. Religion doesn't matter as long as you believe in Jesus and receive him as your personal savior then you are assured to be save by His unfailing grace. Just keep your heart open and let God do the work. May God bless you Bluedoll.

Religion doesn't play a part in ones salvation. Salvation is to be decided by the person himself or herself. No one can be save because of membership to a particular group. The only thing that could save us is to Believe in Jesus and His sacrificial dealth in the cross to wash away our sins and to recieve him as our personal savior. He did it for everyone once and for all. And eternity is free to all the has believe and recieve Him

When I was a christian, I used to read the bible often, but now I'm not christian anymore, and I don't believe in the god of the bible, so I don't feel the necessity of reading the bible (I did never really felt it). Now I don't read the bible, I prefer to spend time reading novels and poetry 'cause I can learn lots of things from them and I can enjoy my time reading.

That's a sad testimony of you ricextreme. How come and why did you choose to depart from God? There are lots of things that could happen in our lives, temptations, trials and testings, that sometimes we just couldn't handle with ourselves alone. If we don't seek help and understand His plans for us or choose to disobey Him that might lead to unbelief and to His saving grace.
Always remember that despite your decision He still loves you and always ready to forgive. I will pray that He will work in your heart ricextreme. Thank you for giving me the opportunity.
