Several of my friends have mentioned that I have a positive outlook on life, so I thought I would start to share with you why I am that way. I have chosen October to be my month to pass on what I have learned about being positive. The first thing I do on my computer each morning is read the blogs which come into my e-mail from a number of sites. It's taken me a while to find these sites but after I weeded out the ones that give you just a short blog and then try to sell you a book or something from the sites that actually give you a value toward positive living.
I can give you some of these sites if you PM me. They are all free and will give you an uplift each day, some reach home with me better then others. I wish others of you will send more ideas on how to make October really special no matter what goes on in the rest of the world. Blessings

Hi savypat, I've heard it said that no one can bring you down unless you give them permission, but I think negative people have a big effect on most of us. I've been practicing your ideas from a previous post about starting each morning with the intention to be happy, smiling and even a an outright laugh. I've started counting my blessings too and thanking everyone and everything that brings me joy. Maybe it would also be good to reminisce a little and remember those in the past who helped us along the way. Do you remember someone who always seemed to be smiling? Recalling such a person will always give us a lift. I also like to go to the unity site and read Daily Word. The Bible also has many good short passages that one can memorize and many have a favourite psalm that they have committed to memory. The late Norman Vincent Peale called such verses "thought conditioners". Blessings.

being positive and thinking positive and feeling or responding positive ,not everyone can do such things,as there should be a person who can be negative so that this person turns to be positive.

i think a positive outlook is soooo important it keeps your spirits alive and makes you a better person to be around. If you had to go on a long journey who would you sit beside on the bus...a person who always moans or a person who is nice and chatty? i know i would choose the last one. but being positive also just makes you feel better seriously if you as having a trying period in your life just smiling and chatting with yourself can actually help :) findinga funny movie or a comdey show on you tube always makes me laugh and lift my spirits
