Let's assume you are buying a new house for yourself now, what type of color do you want to paint for the outside wall of your new house, and for your own personal bedroom. Do you have a reason for wanting to have that particular color/colors other than the reason it is your favorite color. I personally like to have white color in my bedroom wall and light blue color for my ceiling, the color make my room look brighter and make me feel warm. While for the outside wall, i prefer green color so that my house can blend in with the surrounding trees and plants i want around my compound like a big garden. So how about you??

i would want my house to be painted with peach, if not then maybe golden yellow, if not then mint green!
these colors are neat and refreshing to the eyes. i have seen houses painted with these colors and i liked it!
for my bed room i want mint green, or peach, or yellow like i said it is neat. very feminine and refreshing to look.
i want my house to be landscaped! i love nature and i want my home to have this relaxing environment so definitely there would be a garden.

Hi lamps sorry for taking so long to respond to your discussion. I prefer to leave the bricks on the outside of my house as they are as to paint them would involve extra cost and time. Always paint ceilings white to reflect light down into the room, white is also cheaper. Internal walls in pastel shades as strong colours ( excuse the Brit spelling but I refuse to change) tend to make rooms darker. As for favorites, it's more a case of dislikes I'm afraid and orange is it. We once had a house where all doors down stairs were painted orange, it was over painted very quick.

No need to apologize, my friend. Indeed glad to see you drop by my discussion once a while. You are right, white ceiling will reflect light down to the room to make it brighter, it is a good point you have right there, it is also cheaper, two benefits for the price of one. Painted orange color on doors seem weird to me, but what the heck, people have the rights to their own unique taste on color, orange color may be painted to complement other colors in the house. Thank for your wise advice on using white for our ceiling, Cool!

Neat! White color always give me the impression that it make the place look clean and bright; unless it is tainted with dirts. One disadvantage is that it tend to get dirty real quick especialy from spills by the children. I like to have a large portion of my home painted in white, but not all of the area, it will be too bore to look at all the time if it only contain one color.

White as well as reflecting light will also have the effect of making the room look bigger.
I will say that all doors, door frames, skirting boards and window frames in my house are white and will be the colour of choice always. The only internal woodwork that is not white is when it is required to blend in with walls and white would be an unwise choice as it would stop the flow.

i would love to see a colorful house, but i am color blind. so i guess if ever we will be painting the house my wife will be choosing the color. she loves yellow and i can see yellow so i guess a yellow house from outside is a good one. its the color of a nice day, a new day, color of new beginnings. i really hope one day we can buy a house. it is nice to have a place of our own.

Yellow is the color of revolution that over-thrown Marco regime. I still remember your president Aquino wearing her trade-mark yellow skirt most of the time during the revolution in Phillippine. It is s color that symbolize of a non-violent passive people revolution struggle to take back their coutry from corruptor and dictator. It represent a new day and a new beginning full of hope for everyone. Thank for your comment. My friend.

If I'd have my own house, I want the exterior to be colored
creamy white or dirty white. I want it to look clean
and simple but elegant and classy. For my bedroom,
I want the mix of colors pink and silver. Like in my walls, I want
it dark pink but my drawers, bedpost, and chandelier would be silver.
I want my room to have a girly vibe but also still elegant.

I like the white color too for the exterior, but then i hate to see it get stained easily, i will have to spend too much time to repaint it again in a short while, if not, white color does look neat and clean except easily soiled and stained by dust and smog. Your choice of color is simple and classic. Cool!

ok so im a RED person...love the BOLD BRIGHT statement is makes so red would have to be throughout my house multiple times maybe blended with different colors in each room! Red is a color you never forget so I would love a house that made people remember it after they leave. I also like yellow (mustard yellow) my house growing up was yellow (carpet, wood, floor, old school butterfly wallpaper too) LOL...so I think maybe the yellow stuck with me. I think of cheery things with that color...like the yellow happy faces so then there is black...the color I cant live without. Its dark but with any bright color, looks FAB...wow I am smiling as if I just bought a brand new house (haha) that was fun!!! always a DREAMER :D
