BORING CLASSES MAKES ME SLEEPY...zzZzZzZzz. Do you guys agree?

i strongly agree on that. one of my subjects in the graduate studies before was very boring. the voice of the professor was monotone. so even our class was at 8-9:30 in the morning, i fell asleep.lol.hahahaha. one time he asked me a question,and my seatmate had to wake me up and repeat the question for me.It's good I was able to answer it. but the whole class looked at me smilingly.:-) Sometimes, if i find his discussion interesting, I was up in the whole duration of his class.it;s good i;m not snoring and I sat like I'm just writing with my right hand holding the pen and the left hand holding my head up in a bowing position so he did not notice that I was asleep.

I guess we all are especially if the teacher just talk and talk without giving emphasis on some words or subjects to get the students attention. There are some instructors who just read and read without giving his/her views or ideas on what he/she teaches which make the students less attentive to what he/she discusses. More and more teachers are getting lazy, not doing what they are suppose to do as a teacher. One factor in doing so I think is their pay is not worth their work.

I remember one day while I was at nursing school. We had to listen to a lecture about genetics, and the lecture lasted 7 hours. After a while I found it really hard to focus on the lecture and I became very sleepy. I started drawing in the my notebook instead of listening to the lecture and I wasn't paying attention at all. I decided that I going to read those chapters in my home instead, when I was less sleepy, and continued drawing and daydreaming. All of a sudden our teacher stopped talking and he started writing some question on the blackboard. He picked some students who were supposed to go to the blackboard and write the answers to the questions. I just kept thinking: "Oh no, not me, not me" because I didn't listen to his explations and I had no idea how to answer the questions. Fortuneately he didn't pick me, but I decided to pay attention the rest of the time

i super agree with you. makes me want to cut the class and go straight home and go to bed. i hate the feeling of being sleepy and not be able to go to sleep because i am in a class listening to a lullaby.

hahaha.. yeah!! when i was a student, really i get sleepy especially after lunch time. hahaha. especially when the teacher is so boring i cant help to nap a bit. hehehe. I would bow down my head as if im reading my notes but my teacher doesnt know im already sleeping,hahaha. I just cant help it, if my eyes starts yo fall down no one can stop me to sleep. hehe

Definitely! I do hate it when the instructor just sit on his/her chair then doing lectures. Added with a monotonous voice. Wew.. It do bores me. I sometimes sleeo too during class hours. However, when it is about to end, I let my classmate woke me up. Just to not get caught by my teacher. Silly! haha

I agree that a boring class can make you sleepy. what is to keep your attention to make you be alert when your mind is wandering because there is no interest to what is going on in class. As long as there is some kind of motivation in class, i don't worry about falling asleep in class.

Yeah I do think boring classes make me sleepy. I mean i feel there are some classes that make me wander around and be bored. I've also felt asleep in class before or almost because i didn't have enough sleep. Boring classes is not really interesting. I just have any interest in the boring classes. I don't know..lol but yeah i agree classes can just make you sleepy...

I know right. I have classes that puts me to sleep to. The problem is the teacher is kind of strict so I can't just doze of because he might send me out or worst. My sister had the same class a year earlier and she told me that they would put rubber bands on their hand then flick the bands if they feel sleepy. It definitely hurts but at least that keeps them awake.

haha..seriously i agree with you..when they start teaching lessons,its like lullaby songs sung by them and half of the pupils in class go to the sleeping mode automatically:)...teachers are our step mothers who make us sleep well during classes:)...i think some chemical reaction take place in our head when they start taking subjects and it tends to nice and cool sleep.

Haaha. I agree. It's really hard not to fall asleep at that situation. Whether you fight it or not, you will still fall asleep without noticing yourself.

more when the subject falls on holy hours!-hot days, sleeping hours like after lunch! that would make my eyes heavy!! if i would have that feeling i would: *start a chitchat with my seatmate. *create a comic of our teacher's face *day dream *munch something *look at my crush *observe sleepy classmates(they look funny when they try to prevent themselves from falling asleep)

Hell, yeah! xD Sometimes I won't attend that class because I don't wanna be rude yawning all over the place. XD

TOTALLY! Even seating in the most front of the class wouldn't help to doze off in a boring class. Nothing makes me more sleepy than a boring class.
