I like painting oil on canvas. Not to be full of myself, but I think that i paint beautiful paintings. These last few months,I did not feel very inspired, and without that it does not work. Also in the summer when is nice and warm outside I rather be out ,since our winters are long and cold! But these last 2 weeks,I felt inspired again, and now I am working on not one but two paintings. One id for my dining room, and the other will be my new Christmas card.I always make my own! I would like to be able to sell my work, but I guess I am not doing that part the right way.I used to sell them at my place of work, but since I retired, nothing!

Wow aghiuta, I think since you are retired you should paint more often. There are many who had painted in their later years and became famous for their work. (I am taking Art 101 and have been reading about some..lol) So I think it is wonderful that you have started again and encourage you to continue..:D

I know I am so late for this discussion but your work is AMAZING! And you could try selling them online. I did not see where you live but ebay and craigslist.org is where I would start if your in the states. Keep painting your incredible work!!

Thanks! I live in Montreal, and I tried all that, and managed to sell ONE painting on KIJIJI,When I was working I managed to sell some at work, used to take them and hang them up at work to dry(for a week),and sometimes They never came home!!!Also I had some people order a specific painting, from a picture. But all that dried up when I retired. In the meantime I keep painting and hoping.

Well, painting and being able to sell and showcase your work sounds exciting, and hope this is something that you can find a place to be able to do again. I know online they are coming up with many Creative ways now for people who do Art type stuff to be able to sell from. Just need to be patient, as well as being able to have lots of pictures of your work as well. You might also consider Facebook if you have not already done so as this is a Great way for people to get exposure on the stuff they have done that they are trying to sell to others as well.

I am marketing paintings of a famous artist whose paintings were collected by our country's politician, corporate leaders and public listed companies private gallery. Her life was a yoyo, up and down and she has been a single mother who provides for her daughter who will be studied in university soon. Despite all the hardship, she never gives up painting and her way of distress is through painting in which she dwells passionately.Through the paintings' colour and strokes, you could actually feel her inner self. So dear Aghiuta, don't give up!
