I do love anime but due to writers running out of ideas, Many anime developed certain cliches that is as awful as the soap opera cliches. I just want to share some overused plots in anime that I don't want to see ever again, As In I hope writers in Japan will wake up on their senses and stopped doing them. I hate Martial arts Tournaments- seriously name an action anime with no robots that is targeted for boys and men with no Martial Arts tournaments. This is started by Dragonball and followed by more titles, Yuyu Hakusho has it, Flame of Recca has it, Naruto has it and more titles. for me Martial arts tournaments in Anime is just a filler to make the story longer, Villains who wants to destroy the world or kill humans for no reason- A lot of anime has this plot. Villains with no substance, they were evil bu there is no explanation on it. They want to destroy the world but it wont give them any benefits. Little boy as a leader- Why Naruto is a hit, He is an underdog and though he is the protagonist, he is never a leader as a kid, Hunter X Hunter and Shaman King because adult and teen characters being submissive minions to a little kid is just ridiculous to me. It works for Dragonball but other it gets old.... I wont mind over powered children in anime but they dont have to be a leader. Love interest of male protagonist always beat the crap out of him while she is always helpless against villains. he will save her and she will reward that by slapping his face. Perverted Grandpas-why almost every freaking anime have a perverted old man who wants to peep on on young girls while they bathe in hotsprings. Adultman and underage girl in love- 70% of anime for girls have the protagonist who is like 16 have an older man as love interest. I mean in Sailormoon, she is like 16 and her boyfriend is like 22.

I really ROFL'd at some of your cliches xD I do agree that the villains should have more substance to them. There is no need for a super long sob story but at least let them have SOME base to their I-wanna-destroy-the-world plot! I think maybe that's why I like One Piece so much. It doesn't have so many cliches. The most important one is how almost all the characters look the same that it's difficult to tell them apart. Oh and I don't think 16 and 22 is that far apart ;P

True its illegal. I almost forgot that. lol I think I watched too many anime with teens already. LOL pantyshots always made me go -_- cos almost all of them were totally unnecessary!! I haven't watched Hunter x Hunter yet so I can't relate. But yeah I did notice Naruto was supposedly far more advanced than all the adults cos he had that Hermit jutsu? The one where the little old froggie trained him.

but for sure 16 is illegal, but pedo stuff is like normalpart in anime,[em]lol[/em when I was a kid,I enjoyed pantyshots from school girls but now I'm 26, I felt wrong.... For sure a villain can explain why they became that way in just 3 minutes, its not needed to have a full episode of that for sure, Though I liked Dragonball ,Naruto and some anime with little boy protagonist, I hate seeing little boys being the leader of the group now. seriously Leoryo of Hunter x hunter is a freaking adult and he is sidekick of little boys.

the good thing about naruto is that he is a subordinate, he have a boss and a master, he is slowly climbing his way to the top. An anime were a little boy is a freaking leader with adult side kicks is not bearable for me anymore. I know a lot of pantyshots have no relevance to the story, if they will do pantyshots,do it with women not underage girls,

I hate it when two people about to fight are talking endlessly before the actual fight. Why can't they just fight without the talking? I mean, precious time is lost when they can actually provide more action without the talking part. I don't like it when a villain turns good in the end. A villain should remain as evil from the start to the finish. I don't like it, too when the circumstances of the villain, or the reason the villain became bad is shown and somehow justified his being villain which usually get sympathy from the audience. I hate it when there's always a third party in the relationship of the two main characters. I mean, can't there be another kind of problem aside from a third party?

It's good for villains to have their reasons but if villains have that, I still prefer that they don't change up until the end. I mean, if they go to the dark side because of something bad that happened to them in the past, I prefer that they stay on the bad side until the end, something like, "I've been in the dark side for so long that I can't turn back now". Something like that.

Are you familiar with the anime, Ronin Warriors? Anubis was a villain loyal to his boss but after learning things he didn't know about before, he left and joined the heroes. Would you view him differently or would you think he should stay evil for the entire series? He was a big help to the heroes. I thought those villains turned heroes were cool characters, and as a bonus, the hero side gained a powerful ally.

Rayearth is so awesome, Its the ultimate anti Cliche, They were supposed to rescue a Princess but apparently the princess is the real villain andthey have to kill her. Then all support characters are named after cars.

It is basically not my cup of tea and maybe it's a different generation to like for. I grew up with Dragon Ball Z Saga and Yuyu Hakusho, together with the anime's of the 90's. lets give respect to thos who love these anime's. it's their right, i have only limited likes and favorites iin the anime, and i just ignore the new ones, it's probably not just for us any more

The first thing that i hate from anime would be a very long filler with a very strange stories that doesnt even fit with the canon of the anime. Some of the examples would be naruto filler. In my opinion, they should take a break for the anime to let the manga progress further stories, and start again when the stories from manga progress quite further so the anime wont have any boring filler anymore. One of the example is Nurarihyon no Mago.

LOL Naruto is notorious for fillers though its the only watchable anime for me left, I have some problems with many new titles.I rather see continues sagas, sagas are better to make a story longer instead of those 1 shot fillers. Have you noticed some fillers were too similar to each other,.
