expensive dress, does this really make you look good?...

Practicality is one factor that i consider when it regards to spending money. I'm also a fan of the top clothing lines in the industry of fashion. But still I seldom bought expensive dresses. Dressing yourself to look good doesn't have to be expensive. Top considerations should be: *be comfortable with what you're wearing *spend money wisely *wear clothes on its appropriate occasion Being a woman we have to be wise at all times. Even fashion designers do buy cheap clothes. Cheap doesn't mean cheap, cheap sometimes symbolizes elegance. And sophistication is not only with the clothes you wear but with how you act and speak as a person.

People here spend more money for dress. It became a fashion to wear expensive cloths. The 'standard"(level)of people becomes low. Many people do not care for the person who wore cheap dress;and also think that the cheap dressed person do not know much. The expensive dressed persons food will be cheap!

well as for the people who look down on someone for the way they dress, their opinion doesn't matter at all. if they're so shallow, they're not too clever themselves.

I rarely buy expensive stuff and sometimes the expensive stuff look really weird and ugly. My friends like to go for the expensive brands because they think they'll look good in them. My friend bought quite an expensive friend and tried it on, it didn't seem to match her but she bought it anyway. She never wore it and now it's left in her closet. Such a waste of money. If it looks good then I'll buy it even if it's really cheap. I could buy really nice blazer that actually looks good on me for $10 compared to a $100 blazer that doesn't match me. So it's all about trying to find the right look that you're most comfortable in. Just because it's expensive doesn't mean it'll make you look good.

Expensive or Cheap Dress - fashionable dress
I don't really go for expensive clothes. It is not wise to invest in expensive clothes because there are cheaper alternative which are also just as good. It just depends on how you carry the clothes. No matter how expensive your dress is if you don't know how to carry it, it will not at all make you better looking than others who wear cheaper ones. I know people who looks really smart and presentable event they are just wearing simple and not expensive clothes.

Practicality, yes I agree with you on that matter. For me, clothes does't have to be expensive in order for you to look good and fashionable. Actually, it all depends on the person wearing it. If you feel good and think beautiful, no matter how much is the price of your clothes, it will automatically reflects your aura. Its not the price, its actually how you carry your dress or your clothes to look fashionable and elegant. ;-)

Exactly you are right. I am actually not a materialistic person. I just want to emphasize that being simple is good. And it is more amazing if somebody will tell you compliments about you and your dress if the thing you wear is not that expensive than having dresses expensive but getting appreciations from the people around you right?

Indeed! We can always be beautiful and look good without spending too much. Being simple makes us pretty. Ever since we're all beautiful for God created us without wearing anything. :)

Very well said. I agree with you! I don't think expensive dress will really make you look good because it depends if the dress suits you or not. Also, you must be comfortable wearing the dress. Nice view you have here. You can share your views and tips on www.lifo.com especially when it comes to beauty, fashion and celebrity trends.

of course it doesn't make a difference. if something is well cut, fits you well, and suits you, you will look good. if it doesn't fit well and doesn't suit you, no matter how much it cost, you will look bad. I have some expensive clothes, and some very cheap clothes. I don't look better in the more expensive ones than in the cheap ones. if someone thinks that the cost of your clothes has any impact on how good you look, then they're a bit stupid really.

I agree with you on this. Clothes are clothes, although there are those that will make you appear good but there are also that are expensive that are not fitting for such person. I think it all depends on the person and the wearing it on the right occasion. I personally do not have expensive clothes. I am often satisfied with simple things for as long as they are clean and comfortable.

i share the same opinion with you in regards to spending money for clothes. Although expensive clothes do adds to one's look but it still how the clothes suit the dresser matters most. I often seen fashion make over using the same look but with much cheaper clothes and the result is almost the same. Sometimes cheap beats what's expensive!

I totally agree with you my friend. Even if you wear the most expensive clothes it will not do you justice if you don't know how to carry it well. Actually, even if one is in cheaper line of clothes, if you can carry it well , have good make-up , shoes and bag , then surely you will look good, my friend. Bragging aside, i don't always wear branded clothes, but i make heads turn whenever i pass by. Perhaps it's my stilletos ? My made up face? My commanding presence?

It seems that today, makes clothes more ... Even man, that ... But clothes make us ourselves as we leave, we are so shallow that only the exterior look - more if they could, in this fierce competition for brands, let us all tags outside we were very pleased ... I think it would be good, above all, to know that depends on how a dress looks on us, what to matching, to raise his value. So wear clothes appropriate to the right place!

Expensive clothing does make you look good all the time. It depends on the wearer, the type of clothes, the color, design and the way you carry yourself with it. AS you have said, fashion need be expensive. For a lot of reasons, being practical is a lot better than to go with fashion. Propriety, comfort, style, are the factors one has to consider in wearing clothes/dresses. If you can carry yourself around even with cheap clothing, one can look elegant.

Most of us girls would really want to buy expensive and branded clothes. But then the question is, would it make you look good? The answer to that would depend if you're comfortable with what you're wearing. You may have the most expensive dress but if you aren't comfortable at all, then it wouldn't make you look good. I guess it wouldn't matter if the clothes you wear are only cheap, just as long as you feel good in wearing them.

Maybe wearing expensive clothes gives you some boost on your ego, and that confidence will make you feel good, and most of the time, when you feel good and confident, you will also looks good. But I'm not really for expensive clothes, what most important is the fitting and the comfortability of the clothes you're wearing. Cheap or expensive, if it fits you nicely, it will make you look good.

I agree with you. I have clothes that are on different price ranges. I tend to stir away also on expensive clothes 'coz I tend to change styles a lot and I don't see why I should spend a lot for that. If I would spend a lot on a piece of clothing, I make sure that it's flexible and could be used with other styles.

It is really impractical to buy expensive dresses to look good. No matter what the price the dress is if you know how to handle your dresses, well you will definitely and absolutely look good. On the other hand, well, I admit that also most of the expensive dresses looks good. I repeat "the dresses looks good", does not necessarily mean that we can look good on that expensive dress.
