When doing some medical testing which life should be used?

Which life should be used during medical testing? The lives of animals or the those death-row inmates? Animals too have lives and they are important to nature just like humans, but we are talking still talking about life even though they have sinned this is still life we are talking about. In this situation i dont which side to choose.. how about you? which life we should use?

If it's for the better of the majority of living things, few sacrifices are just fine. LOL. They've been using animals for decades now, I don't really mind using more of them.
