Few days from today my husband and I will be celebrating our 3rd year wedding anniversary. Celebrating our anniversary always involves dinner out, whether it be on the actual day or the closest weekend. As much as possible we try to give something to each other as gifts, nothing too expensive though, we focus more on being creative. I heard about the traditional anniversary gifts, and honestly I haven't tried giving him those things, what does those traditional anniversary gifts symbolizes? I have read that on your 3rd wedding anniversary the gift should be something leather. How about you do you actually follow this traditional anniversary gifts?

i am not married and im single so definitely i don't know this tradition. But for me i will give the most likeable things, things that i know for she will like it. It doesn't matter if it is expensive or not, what is important is, it comes from the heart.

The traditional gifts is usually just a guide. If you follow it, it's okay. But if you already have your own tradition (like you mentioned dinner out and creative gifts) then that is better, just do that and make it your own tradition. My husband and I created our own tradition too. We always stay a night in a hotel, and dine out. It will also be our 3rd anniversary soon, and I am already looking for a not so expensive hotel to book. =)
