hairs on my eyelids now??

I went to get my eyebrows done at a place in walmart, and they waxed right above my eyelid / kinda on it. Now hair is growing there where I swear it didn't before. I've never / not that I can remember ever had anyone wax there. I'm thinking of not going back there ever! I shouldn't have hair growing on my eyelids, and I'm not sure whether to try to pluck it myself (ouch) or get it waxed again or what. I think I might drop in and ask one of the ladies at great clips near where I work, she said she's waxed before, maybe she can point me to the best place to go and / or what to watch out for when it comes to if they're doing it right / what questions to ask. I've never asked questions. Should I? I guess so.

I don't know anything about this. But a friend of mine recently got a haircut at Walmart, and even I (a man) can see that they butchered her hair. I am going to tell you the same thing that I told her---if you are at Walmart, and are thinking about getting yourself "beautified" there, take out your cellphone and call a friend. Good friends will talk you out of going to Walmart for haircuts...and waxes.

The first time I did it it was fine, now not so much. I'm not going back that's for sure. I should have thought twice before.

You have now successfully freaked me out. From now on when I wash my face I'm going to be checking my eyelids for hair.

Not yet, I went by the great clips to ask them if they knew the reason but they were a bit busy so I didn't bother them.

I dunno but your experience worries me about getting my brows done one day. I guess I'd be safer plucking them myself though I'd like to find the right shape by a pro and then just follow what they did.

They have kits (or used to) wherein there were sticky wax strips already shaped. HOWEVER, those type of kits just stink. Go to someone, but maybe a spa would be better. It costs a little extra, but for the first time getting it done it's better. I got my eyebrows waxed for the first time at a spa. They took me back into a room, had me lay on a table and voila! It hurt but was relaxing.

Maybe they noticed some hair growing low there. After waxing maybe it came in more pronounced too. I would ask. I would go to a reputable place for sure. Especially after having problems. SOme people just have hairs in weird spots. SOme more than others. It isn't always pretty. haha?

i will ask another place as I won't be going back there. I may run in and ask someone at great clips, the woman who cut my hair if I can remember what she looked like. She told me she's done brows before. In any case, I don't want anything waxed that will grow in more pronounced. If you can hardly tell the hair is there why worry about it ya know? I don't think I had any hair there before though.

I have two strands of hair that grow like crazy(besides on my head I mean)One is on my right forearm and the other is on my right eyebrow. Isn't that weird? They grow really long if I let them. Not more pronounced. Who shaves their forearms? LOL

That is weird. I've had a hair, that I've since plucked maybe twice. In any case, it was long and thin, barely noticeable in fact one time I hadn't noticed it, and the other time I noticed it and plucked it right out. It grew right under my eye, not in the space under my eye but darn near close on my cheek bone. WEIRD place indeed. I USED to shave my arms, but my forearms? Nah, that's kinda weird.

It's just odd that hairs grew there. Another member here suggested it could be pink fuzz that was on my eyelids but I don't think so. It's odd, and I don't like it. Guess I'll have to get it waxed off sometime.

I have had my eyebrows waxed many a time and I have never had them waxed any other way. If you didn't have hair there, there wouldn't be any hair folicals so it couldn't just start to grow. So what she has done is waxed it because she saw little fuzz hairs and now they have grown back stronger and thicker and are no longer just fuzz. You will always have to do them now because they won't go back to just fuzz. I have very dark eyebrows and bushy and so I have always had to have them waxed where you are talking about. I also have to have them waxed at the top of the brow too because they go way up my forehead. You may have to start going to a salon to get them waxed. They have a lot more experience than some young girl in Walmart. Or you may want to start doing them yourself. I am only 28 years old and I do my own sometimes but every once in awhile I go to a salon and get them done because they shape them better than I can. Good luck my friend, Littlemissy signing off now

Well that's a good assumption, but I'd think even my fuzz would be darker. I have dark hair, and I've not felt nor noticed any fuzz before she waxed them. I think she just put too much wax in the area. I don't know, I could be wrong. I used to get my eyebrows waxed all the time. In fact, I probably need to go get it done again sometime. I think I might start getting it done once a month. I think before it was every two weeks, as for awhile I stopped doing it. I've thought about threading my brows to shape them but saw it being done and don't want to imagine it / feel it so close to my eyes etc. Mine, before I started waxing, and if i wait awhile, get very very bushy and manly looking...

Wow. I would be so mad if they did that to me and hair came in the place of it now. You have to be so careful. People claim to be professional but they really aren't.

there's a place in the same shopping center I work in. Didn't even greet me to my knowledge. I stood there for two to three minutes and nothing. I was thinking of going there but now I'm not so sure. I might go out of my way just to get it done, by people I think i can trust.

I think it is good to ask all kinds of questions. Just try to ask the right questions to the right people I guess. I am not an expert. I wish I was but I think I asked this kind of question but more in connection to how our body is constructed. I think the purpose of why we have hair has something to do with it and if hair is removed will sometimes appear again in another location. This is all I want to say about this, as I am in danger of disclosure and so plead the 5th.
