Being successful is a great pleasure. Different people handle it differently. Some gloat to people, others simply keep it to them self. Some use their success to help bring others success. How do you handle it?

It depends a lot. If it is about sports, I am very happy, I scream and dance from happiness. When it is about learning, I am just content, when I get good results in my exams. If it is about money, it depends on the amount I have won or made. It depends a lot, but every type of success lifts the spirit and does a great deal to the moral. The more successful a person is, the more confidence he has and I think successes bring successes with them.

I am very glad that you feel this way. I think this happens because of my high school education where I have studied a lot of logic, philosophy and other subjects like this, which makes one's mind work and think about abstract things as well.

Yes I have also found that philosophy has a huge impact on a person's thinking ability!

I have come to that stage in life where neither success or failure creates any emotion either of joy or unhappiness. This is mainly because i have come onto the spiritual path since over 20 years and now my mind does not react to material gains or losses. There is a total sense of tranquillity ,calmness and equaminity in all kinds of situations and circumstances.

hello joseph, you can call it part destiny and part hard work.I am practising a secret yogic discipline called Kriya Yoga since the last 20 years and this has brought me to such a state. If you want to know more.I recommend you to read 'AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF A YOGI' by Paramahansa Yogananda. This is the book that lead me as well as millions of people all over the world to practise this sadhana. It is available all over the country and in all Indian as well as foreign languages.

handling success by taking care of it, and don't forget the people who helped you, and if you have time, you have to help them too, not just by words, they will be shocked because they are not aware one day in turn you offer them good gifts and opportunities too....

The first thing that I do when I'm being successful on something is I will be grateful and praise God for everything that He gave to me.. Later, I am willing to share some happiness to people. Either by treating them, or maybe simply just sharing my success story, so people can learn from my experience or might follow my way..

Sharing our success stories to people is great. It is mutually beneficial for you and for people . By sharing your story, people will ask some question. And by that question, you will learn more, and sometimes you'll find out your own mistake that you'll never realized before... At least, I feel it that way when I was sharing my stories to people.. :)

Yes I have also experienced this. Sometimes I tell people how I reached my success and they show me an even simpler way it could have been done... two heads really are better than one

Being thankful is very wise in my opinion. And sharing your experience so that others may learn from it is very kind my friend

Well, I tend to keep a low profile so I don't tend to boast about my achievements. Like at school and I get the highest mark for a class, I don't jump for joy and let everyone know. I find that a little too showy so I tend to just keep it to myself and be happy inside. But my friends always find out about my achievements and blurt it out for the world for me. My friends are pretty loud and they tend to boast about their success but blurting out my success too. I feel really uncomfortable when people know of my success because they will expect me to achieve again next time and what if I don't? Just a little paranoid.

I know the feeling. When people see what you can do it becomes expected of you. Sometimes it is wiser to keep it on the down low.

I just take it in stride. A valuable lesson that I can learn and know that some particular success works. I allow that success to structure my next step, bringing myself to the very next goal. Whatever that goal will in fact be. There are going to be a lot of times where that success can be a stepping stone for any future success whatever that may be. I think that I remain humble because if you gain arrogance, you can blow that success. With a few missteps everything is going to be set back underneath everything that you are ever going to do to say the very least. Therefore it is important to be humble and going to be able to get each and everything done that really needs to be done. Success can be a new beginning or the beginning of the end.
