Actually, there are the 7 wonders of the Ancient world where in all are now destroyed except for one, the Pyramids of Giza. Then, there were the seven wonders of the modern world before the United Nations made a formal list of the seven wonders after the public has given their votes. Those were the Pyramid of Giza, Eiffel Tower, Statue of Liberty, Taj Mahal, Great Wall of China, Leaning Tower of Pisa and I forgot the last one but others say it is Angkor Wat. Some would say it would be The Acropolis in Greece. But after the United Nations announced the winners, here is the final list: Great Wall of China, Taj Mahal, Pyramid of Giza in Egypt, Machu Picchu in Peru, Chichen Itza in Mexico, Petra in Jordan and Christ the Redeemer statue in Brazil.

I have indeed bean to many amazing places and one of the best was Petra in Jordan. It was so lovely to see that rose red city that looked like it was made from sand. I had hot dry weather super for that place. Wow!
I have seen Australia's Great Barrier Reef and snorkeled some of it. I saw the beautiful and colorful coral and it was so lovely to see the friendly fish. I have done lots more snorkeling in the tropics which I have really enjoyed.
I went on a safari in Kenya and before that I saw the Great Rift Valley. It was very beautiful indeed. It was excellent to see all the wildlife.

I hope that you will get the job in beautiful Mauritius which is one of the countries on my travel wish list. If so you could easily get a flight to Kenya and go on a safari. I think that one day you will be able to visit amazing Petra and will wear that hat.

Petra, Oh Petra. Wish I can go there too. The movie that was stuck to my head when I see Petra is Indiana Jones. I will definitely go to Petra wearing Indie's hat. hahaha...
If I am to be assigned in Mauritius, Kenya would be first on my list as a side trip. hehehe... I would love to be on a safari.

Speaking of the wonders of the world, may it be natural or man-made, I have been fortunate enough to see 2 of these. One is the Great Wall of China and the other one is Angkor Wat(former 7 wonders of the world). It gives me the chills just to walk through to those living monuments. As if you are being teleported back in time and experience the grandeur and magnificence of the empires that created those monuments back then.

Heem traveling, it's very cool and can release the fatigue, I have been to Borobudur temple, I think it is a place created with the highly improbable given technology at that time, I also want to look for a pyramid It is one of my wishes to see the pyramids but it's very far away and requires no small cost, I hope someday I can get there...^__^
