hi friends.as i was browsing the internet i cam across this phrase.
on further study revealed that it could be true.
even the IPL organisers admit that the crowd attendance and TRP rating for IPL4 started going the downwards direction.
some say some 25 % drop too in view ship.
now even during the chennai matches, supposedly the most enthusiastic crowd, one did not get the feeling that the ground are full.
is BCCI going for over kill or has it already killed?
talk of fatigue with cricketers, they are giving fatigue to even viewers.
was i making a valid statement or just over reacting?
whats with quality cricket and close-finishes if there is not much attendance?

I also believe that the BCCI has just made cricket a profit business more than a sport. Nobody is interested in business and politics, thus the people have just over exhausted themselves. The big series defeat in England is just an example. If the BCCI gives more resources on development of players and domestic tournaments, it would do more for the game. Even a increase in the number of matches is an issue. An India-Pakistan match was more of passion now it has become fashion.

I do agree with both of you.Really they made it as a business matter. They are using players too much and they are not getting rest.Even they are having problem with injury.BCCI should look after their players and should have game plan for nation.Actually what is their plans, only they know.I think BCCI should think about Indian cricket future and reduce these type of T20 tournament. After the worldcup,Indian cricketers did not get rest more than a week. They are destroying the talents of Indian cricket as well as their life and carrier.

I think that is true. As they say too much is too bad!
One thing I observed is most of the people are not caring about the result of these T20 games. Especially those who were avid cricket fans a few years back.
I myself have not watched a cricket match since a long time. I just read the news papers or website articles.
My friends who were used to give up everything and sit in front of Television to watch Cricket now tell that they are not even interested to talk about Cricket! Lol.
But it is true that still craze for Cricket is there all over India. Somehow the passion is reducing slowly. It may not be too apparent right now but will be evident after some time.
BCCI is also don't have any idea about how to handle this. They are just dishing out one series after another on players and viewers. And people are getting indifferent to the results and the game of cricket itself.

I would say that they are right now milking the cow as much as possible. But you are right the cow is on the verge of stopping to give milk. I think the Indian public is getting indifferent to the game of cricket. And if this happens then the game will lose the interest of public and the money will start to go out of the game.
Cheers!
