Thanks for reading first of because I was so confused how to write about the topic in limited words in subject column.
I heard about some basic rules like many of you already know left and right traffic rules..that differs in countries..and according to that the car's,four wheeler's steerings are fit...in the vehicles.
Now I want to know everyone who drives, how difficult that is to drive in different steering side which you are not use to..? or anyone of you have tried both easily in case lived in such different traffic ruling countries..?
There are some more curiosities am not sure about them though-
- In India the standard domestic electric AC current in volts is 220-250 (approx),and all the electronic machines' power supply is designed accordingly..Does it vary country to country?if yes then what is standard domestic Ac supply in volts there?
- I heard (i am not sure and I wont mind if some of you start laughing on it)that in USA the ON /OFF switches settings in house electricity vary than other countries just in opposite directions. The way we ON a switch, they OFF the switch in same way. ..so if am right please explain and if it is just a rumor then just laugh and leave I dont mind. Cheerz & take it easy.

I don't know about the on/off switches (you can wire them either way), but the standard AC current is different here. We have 120 and 240 and our appliances and electronics will not work in other systems. We lived in Singapore for a year and had to leave everything here and buy new there. TV, coffee pot and things like that - then we gave them away when we returned to the US.
I never did drive on the "wrong" side of the car or the road. My husband did all the driving; otherwise I took a cab!

oh so I was not completely wrong. That mean one can't use american electronic appliances in different country if the products are designed for american household people.

I try to write ON/OFF situations..by slash here its ON (\) means you have to press the switch down. and OFF mode (/) means we press the switch up side to turn it OFF..
I think you people should have used products on rent if possible and not expensive comparatively in singapore.

Some American companies make appliances for overseas markets, so the brand name would be the same, but you can't take one made for here and use it there.
It would have been more expensive to rent for a full year than to buy. We rented a house that came with a washer, kitchen stove and TV, so we only needed a coffee pot and a few things like that.

I am dyslexic and for some reason I have no problem switching from the left to the right side of the road for driving. I drove all over Europe and in the Islands. When I was in England I drove cars with the steering wheel on one side one day and then on the other side the next, depending on whose car I could borrow.
In Spain, we had to use transformers to run American appliances because of the electric. There were also special plug adapters for others. We adapted our turntable with a special weight to make it spin at the right speed because of the electric. When we got home I realized I had lost the correct weight and had to search everywhere to by one here.

Oh that sounds strange..it a kind of talent like knowing how to write with left and right both hands..Do you need to add some more information in your driving license in such cases? or you give test on both kind of vehicles to get an International driving license?
I think you are talking about stabilizer to maintain the voltage..but what is this turntable? and what is the use of it?you use if for some kind of games? or what?
