I worked as a nurse 18yrs now. I love to care clients or patients. I gave advises, counsels, plan their care, monitor their status, im-plement the plan of care and etc. Talking to significant others makes the ill person more courage to gain their health and helps understand patient situation which leads to early recovery.

I am a newly board passers from my country. I am so happy that i can now apply all the skills i have learned from my school. Nursing is the best way we can do to help people especially in the moment of their weakness or disability. We are the one who will give them hope, aid, support, care, and give their needs. We assist individual, sick or well, in the performance of activities contributing to recovery. This is a noble job because we care for lives even we get risk or susceptible in facing different kinds of diseases just to give care for all people. And by this we get closer to God.

Good to hear that rixmabuhay. Nursing is helping people in times of illness not just during illness but we care for them not to get ill. Yes you can now apply what you have learned during you college days.

Thank you, I salute all of you nurses because you give your heart, passion and dedication to your work by giving your time to each individual even in exchange of your happiness. You all have high patience in work even the people around you are irritable. You work even out of work to help and save lives. Truly nursing is a noble job.

I am a graduating nursing student. I feel so anxious. I'm afraid that I am not yet fully capable to serve people. I am afraid to commit mistakes. But I do agree nursing is a noble profession. Hope I will do well.

well flapiz, don't be anxious. you should aim high. you should not put into your mind that you can commit mistakes. you should then be very cautious and alert at all times.

Thanks Anne for responding. Yes indeed it is a rewarding job for nurses and it is a challenging one. We have the skills of listening to our clients and the way treating our clients with love. Have you found any difficulties in dealing with the elderly?
