A versatile wok - I don't like a versatile wok

Do you like using a wok is versatile? You can just cook pot, just fried, grilled etc... with this wok. I do not like that. I like the things for cooking with specialized functions of their separate. What happens if I just cook hot pot without fried? A versatile pan will be very expensive gas or electricity in this case. Right?

I do have various types of pot but a wok is something I do not own. I do use different types of pots/pans depending on what I am going to make. I usually get right to what I am going to cook and use my time wisely, so I really do not think I waste much gas while doing so. I might add a few more washings to do but if it ultimately makes my meal the way I like to enjoy it then I am all for using different ones, depending on what I am making.

Not really as I have a full cookware of pots and pans. I do wash as I cook so after the meal the only thing left is the plates we are eating from.

Wit a versatile wok, you won't take much time to washing after every meal. I think this is the most helpful thing of it. Will you try one?

I use the pot (or wok, or pan) that suits best my needs at one moment. No pot of mine has a label that says what is it for. I don´t even have a special pot for rice as I do it by frying it with garlic first. But I do have several pots of different sizes. When I´m alone, I cook in the smallest pot 2 potatoes, 1 egg to make it hardboiled and a little water. I take the egg before the potatoes are ready, of course. I have an electric heater to heat water but can measure the exact amount of water I need. I don´t spend more in this way.

I have a small 3 in 1 pot with a single lid. At the botton I place potatoes and maybe eggs to make hardbolied. The middle pot that goes over the lower one has holes so that I can steam veggies. The third one that goes on top is a normal pot but I can make a custerd with the steam that comes up from the bottom. I usually use 2 at the same time and use it often. I use my wok (a big one) yo make stir fried veggies and such and to make risotto. My wok has no lid.

Have you ever thought about a wok which can cook many food in the same time? You can cook potatoes, eggs and pot in the same time.

I have honestly never used one before. I prefer electric though.

I am not so sure about that, why do you think it wont be helpful. In fact I think it would be more helpful and convenient to have a versatile wok. One pan doing many things, I like it!!

Maybe because I don't cook much. I only cook two or three disks for each meal. I think that this wok is suitable for the party, but we don't have parties frequently.
