i have a long hair, it almost reach my waist line. but it's very dry. i always tie in a pony tail or in a not to hid its dryness. then a friend of mine encouraged me to go to her friend who have a salon and offers low price in rebonding. so i tried it, it so straight right after rebonding, but after a few days and weeks, its dryness slightly resurface, and i apply conditioner every other day to maintain its straightness. now it's still straight but not that shiny anymore. how about your hair?. do you have any hair tips?

I think the best way is to have it shorter. Maybe at least shoulder length and then have a regular hot oil treatment to prevent dryness. I don't rebond my hair but it is always shiny because I make sure I don't miss my regular hot oil treatment and I also make sure my diet is well balanced so that my hair gets enough supply of proper nutrients.

if you rebond your hair and you do not maintain it, i think you will have a problem with it more because your hair would be prone to breakage. rebonded hair would need an awful lot of work to be done, believe it or not.
you need to condition your hair. buy a hot oil treatment at home if you do not want it done in the salon. i tried some home care treatment or hair spa treatment and worked for me, you can substitute conditioner with hair spa treatment; choose something with virgin coconut oil in it.
if its really dry, and its the worst scenario you will have to grab some vitamin e capsule and put one capsule in 1 bottle of shampoo. use shampoo that is not strong in scent. use a mild one.

i also try fixing my hair by combing it and putting clips but it also dry like you. before i just put baby oil on t and it grow so thick and healthy. but when my sister invite me to go to a beauty parlor to try relax, hot oil and rebonding. my dry and wavy hair becomes straight but not for so long as it get back to dry. it even become drier and my hair texture get thin and i suspect because of the chemicals they put in my hair so now i avoid hair treatment.

i also suffered dry hair after relax. what salon did you go to for your hair treatments?. because not all salon or hair doer do good jobs in treating hair. and it also depends on how you maintain your treated hair, as of what some posts said here.;-)

I have to use conditioner every single time I wash my hair. So I think if you keep up with the conditioner it should not be very dry. Mine is just fine with the conditioner.

thanks. is everyday use of conditioner necessary?. cause for me, i don't wet my hair everyday,i do it every other day cause every time i go on duty i tie my hair in a loose ponytail. from my observation, wet hair are more vulnerable in tangles and breakage, and i don't like tying my hair when wet.

Hi there Evan Fred 0219!
A hair that long is really hard to maintain especially after treatment. I would suggest that you avail of hair spa services at least once a month or it will be better if you can, twice a month. Rebonded hair needs maintenance and hair spa can do the job.

hi there!
well what can i advice you is that try to trim it a little then just put on conditioner to your hair, you should have tried hot oil or hair spa instead of rebonding, because rebonding would only straighten the hair.
anyway, just apply conditioner and dont shampoo your hair. that is waht my sister does to her hair and its effective.

thanks for the advice. i think creamsilk is the best brand and have the best quality of conditioner. the hair stylist who rebonded my hair recommend hair cellophane. waht's the difference between hair spa and hair cellophane, which one is better?

hi there!
what my sister does to her hair is that she only uses conditioner and no shampoo. i think its much better if you had a hot oil treatment or hair spa rather than rebonding coz what i know of rebonding is that it is only good for straightening the hair.
if you really want your hair to be shiny and not dry, try to trim it a little bit and just stick with conditioner for the mean time.

is hair cutting really done even if your hair is rebonded? will it not make the hair frizzy or make the hair tip unsealed?. im afraid of losing the rebond effect if i'll have my hair trimmed because the way i understand rebonding,it seals the hair end to prevent it from curling or disarray.

Maybe you need to have hair spa treatment every month. That's what I do. After every hair spa treatment, I would feel that my hair is healthier. And I always have my hair trimmed once in a while so that there would be no dry ends which can make the whole hair look dry. :) And also, experiment and find out what kind or variation of hair conditioner fits your hair type. You'd know by the way it feels when your hair dries. Some conditioner makes your hair feel heavy and sticky if they don't fit your hair type. :)
