if you see a new user asking about mylot, are you going to paste a link or type everything you want to share?

If I see a new user who really wants to understand how to go about things here then I will explain at lenghth and then paste a link showing where I got my information from. I will then keep the page open and hope that they come back and comment, maybe adding some more queries or doubts.
If I hear nothing back from them then it is very unlikely that I will do anything more than pasting a link the next time that they ask.
If a user is old enough to read, write and type then they don't need spoon-feeding anymore either

I keep many tabs open and I have my notifiers on. When a comment appears on a response that I leave then I am aware of it and get back to it as soon as I can
Welcome to myLot but do not let it interfere with your studies.

Hello and welcome to myLot.
Personally I have yet to only paste a link, as I am one to give a great deal of detail. I don't think that only pasting a link would suffice as a response. Now I can see if the responders finds that many explained the topic clearly and not wanting to duplicate a response and then going into a box where perhaps it was going to be the same response and saying something like, I also believe this as well and here is a link that can also support your response, or something like this with the link.
On the left side while entering a response it does say to
"Please be as descriptive as possible."
So this is what I tend to do with all my participation.

a warm hugging welcome i am receiving here! wow!
thankyou thankyou so much.
i can understand that, it is always better to give an overview to a just a new landed one rather than letting her loose inside a big ranch.
