Total Hip Replacement VS. FHO

I wanted to get opinions on these two surgeries. Has anyone ever had their dog go through a total hip replacement? How about go through a FHO (Femoral Head Osteoectomy). I have a 6 year old Golden Retriever who has severe hip dysplasia in her left hip. These two surgeries are my two options for her. A total hip is very expensive running around $2500. The FHO is only around $400. Anyone have any opinions on the two? Any experiences? Please share! Thank you!
