We live and function in an imperfect world that often brings temptations and various trials with it. Stresses and challenges are everyday realities of life. Success in such a difficult environment requires not just great planning and even greater effort but also making the right choices and cultivating the right habits. Success can come in the form of money, status, prestige, however, the most important one for God's servants-triumph against the evils of this world so as to ensure salvation and eternal life on Judgment Day. How can a servant of God succeed against such a determined, shrewd and deceitful enemy, Satan?

Although God and Satan are at war, we don't need to wait until the end to see who will win. God has already defeated Satan. and when Christ returns, Satan and all he stands for will be eliminated forever. Satan is here now, however, and he is trying to win us over to his evil cause. With the Holy Spirit power, we can resist Satan nad he will flee from us.

The Bible often pictures temptation and constant struggle with sin as a battlefield, and if we want to succeed, we need to prepare well. No better preparation can there be than putting on all of God's armor so that we will be able to stand safe against all the strategies and tricks of Satan. remember, this fight is not against people made of flesh and blood, but against the evil rulers and against the evil forces of wickedness who rule the world

God has not left us on our own. He gives us all the instructions we need to conquer evil, even the Devil.
James 4:7 King James Version (KJV) 7Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Psalm 1:1-3 King James Version (KJV) 1Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 2But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. 3And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Every Christian, similarly, is faced day by day with some kind of temptation for as long as he lives in this corrupt world which is under the control of Satan. Temptation is one of those things that remind us of the challenges of the heavenly race, the constant needling of the devil, and the need for us to remain strong and adamant in the faith as we await the Second Coming of Jesus. At its core, Satan is the ultimate source of all desires and actions that are contrary to God's commandments because that is his ultimate motive-to drive us away from God and His promised salvation and eternal life.

You are right, every true Christian ought to figure out by now that he lives for God and not for himself- a reality thas has a profound effect on all the choices he makes in life and even in his entire lifestyle.
