Anybody here familiar of "Sef Gonzales"?

My nephew approached me yesterday and asked me to give him a topic which he can deliver a news on for their communications class. They will then debate and have a small discussion about each reports. Something in the line of current events is a good start and they don't have any limitations on what to share. Past or present news would do, so I told him to do a thorough read about "Sef Gonzales" and his case.
This news about Sef was way back in 2001 wherein Sef's family was killed. His dad, mom and sister were found dead inside their house in Australia. The crime stirred the pity of the masses and hearts went out for Sef, especially when he sang "One Sweet Day" at the funeral. He then appeared on TV and asked for the criminal to step out and saying he only wanted justice for his family.
Investigations was made and soon after the police find Sef's alibi difficult to believe and he kept changing statements. In the end, it's found out that Sef was the one who killed his family. The reason might be greed, pressure, whatever you call it but it still doesn't change the fact that he killed is own flesh and blood.

Hello keihimekawa, He must have felt disturb and depress knowing he felt neglected by his own family, maybe if they put him into consultation or psychiatric theraphy, that could have been prevented. but he was selfish too, he had it all, money , family and good life and just like that he threw it all away simply because he felt neglected

That's just so true It breaks my heart when I read somewhere that Sef and his family used to live in Baguio when the great Baguio earthquake struck. His sister, dad and mom was able to leave the house safely but Sef was trapped inside. His dad came back and entered the house to rescue Sef. It's too sad that the family have to end in such bloody way. I can almost imagine the feeling of surprise Sef's parents and sister felt when he attacked them
