I used to get bored easily with teeny-bopper movies but this one definitely amazed me to no end. The story is simple and actually, a bit predictable but the way how the movie is written and directed is something that caught my attention. A simple movie about youth, first love, confidence and growing up. If you are looking for a movie that's easy to watch and quite amusing, this movie is a definite MUST WATCH!
The story revolves around Nam and Shon (Mario Maurer) who studies at the same high school. Nam's head over heels with Shon, who ranks as one of the best in school, but believed that since she's not pretty and not smart, she doesn't have a chance with Shon. Realizing this, she improved her appearance until she became one of the most beautiful in school and studies HARD until she reaches the top place. She totally changed herself for Shon.
This movie won various awards including the Top Awards 2010 - Best Movie of the Year. Mario Maurer was also recognized is this movie and garnered quite a number of awards.

I agree! Even though the movie has a very simple plot, still it is very nice. The movie was not at all boring. It was funny and can make us remember the times when we were in highschool and had our own crushes. P'shone is just so handsome. It was my friend who told me to watch that movie. At first, I wasn't interested. But then, when P'shone came to the scene, I was just like 'Oh my gosh!'. Isn't he just so cute? Well overall, I can say that it is definitely a must-watch movie! Definitely one of the best!

I agree with everything that you said :D What's good about this movie is that most viewers can relate to the movie since it also happened to them. The movie is not exaggerated and even though there's a 9 years gap afterwards, they made it believable for everyone. I just adore the scrapbook scene! I cried a lot from that ^_^

Yeah! Everybody can really relate to it. The movie also made me cry. P'shone also loved Nam after all. At first, he never showed so much interest in Nam and didn't made any move until that part when we saw the scrapbook and all secrets were just revealed. He was also in love with Nam.

Hi kei!
I have never seen this movie but I have been hearing a lot about this. I heard about this first from my classmate. It was a few weeks ago. She told me to watch the movie because it was a really good one. But I'm not really into love stories much less teeny-bopper movies (I even boycotted Tween Acadamy ) and when I watch a Thai movie I can't help but get distracted with how they talk!
But who knows, maybe from your recommendation I might download and watch this. The thought of being late in the hype also pressures me to watch a movie or a drama that everybody's talking about.

I noticed that, too! They have high-pitched voices which always sound like a shrill. Oh, I won't hate you, kei. I'll just curse you, probably not a privilege but an obligation to stop you from watching Thai movies if I didn't like it. But I will watch it with your strong recommendation. lol
Maybe we both are conservative. I just don't like the idea that this film is encouraging kids of that age to go into love relationship. I just don't agree to it.

I was also distracted by the way they talk. Well, it's more of the pitch they use that got me distracted. Especially when guys talk. They have small pitched voices _

This is a really nice teen movie. I never get bored watching it over and over again. It's a really big hit here in the Philippines. A lot of teens loved it and the lead actor and actress are very cute and they really look good together. The chemistry between the two is really there, that's why this movie became a hit. I just hope nam and shon will have more movies together.

Awww- I wished the same thing. Their chemistry is just too cute to ignore :) The movie is something most people, adults and teens alike, can relate that's why it became a huge hit. It's not filled with mushy lines and "I'll-get-the-moon-and-stars-for-you" dialogues. It's realistic. Enough said :D

hi there! i have watched this film and true! it really did amaze me.
i was captured by it's trailer then finally i watched the film after i saw the trailer.
it's an ordinary story that a lot of us could relate. having this "crush" during our high school years. that's why no doubt a lot loved the story a plus to that film was Mario Maurer's beauty! he is so gorgeous. i actually have a crush on him! and P Nam was beautiful too.
my fondness of Thai movie started with that Film!

i was also amazed on how the actors and actress from being child like becomes mature
i thought they shoot for many years because there was really a great change Mario became taller and all the others did grow tall. or it was really shoot for another year??
well, anyway the movie was great! a MUST WATCH!

I really didn't look into the details on how the movie was made but if it's all done in a span of 3-6 months, the make-up artists should receive a special award! Lol! I haven't heard any news about the movie with Erich :P The last thing I heard about Mario Maurer was the Penshoppe gig :P

oh.. yeah, that's true! because they really looked young then mature after long years! the make up artist must receive an award.

Yes, you are true! This movie is the best Thai Movie I ever see. And the best short Romantic Movie I ever see. Mario Maurer is just too cute and handsome.
I tears a lot when the scene that Nam confessed to Shone. And I laugh a little when Nam plunged to the pool. Why did Shone don't want to confessed earlier before his friend come!
After this movie, I began to search the other Thai Movie. Do you watch 'Friendship'? Mario Maurer play there too! Oh my God! It is a very good sad story. Mario Maurer play as a good boy and loyal, he always wait his girlfriend from the time they separate. . . I tears too!

Ugh! I've been trying to download it but my browser and internet connection always fails me T_T I'm hoping that I get to DL it this weekend! I also want to watch "Lovers of Siam" since Mario Maurer's also in it but I'm not too sure if the movie is good though. It's a relationship between 2 guys I think :P

oh, it has been a hit telenovela which was turned into a good and excellent movie for the world lovers to watch. Nice.
It must have been coming and going at the television so goodly to make one shed so much tears. A real soap opera in the making.
Yes, be in love. It feels great to be in love.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think
trinidadvelasco got the wrong idea :P
This was a movie to start with not a drama turned into a movie (from what I know) it's just that the movie was telecast here and it got the attention of telenovela lovers here, making it a hit :D Though there are scenes that are cut while it's televised but it's still great :)

You should! I'm telling you, this movie is really light and most people can relate to it :) Maybe that's the reason why a lot adored this film a lot. Of course, aside from the fact that the lead actor and actress are real good looking and suit each other :P Comedy-drama-romance all rolled into one. Tell me what you think of it after watching :P

Yeah~ Actually I grew tired of predictable romance movies and sometimes, the plot is just too overwhelming or simply unbelievable that I end up hating the film completely :P When my friend recommended this film to me, I was actually skeptic since she kapt saying "Mario Maurer looks sooooo good" and haven't said anything about the story itself. I watched it after a few months or so and I ended up watching it twice CONSECUTIVELY! Lol! One of my favorite movies ever

I also love this movie :) And there are a lot of interesting Thai love stories as well, like Bangkok Traffic Love Story~
And good news to the fans, it has been rumored that a sequel is on the works. It was said to feature the 7 years (was it 7? I can't believe I forgot!) lost to Nam and Shone.

I also read about that. I hope it'll be as interesting as the first one :P I think it was "9 years after" or "9 years lost" or something along that line :P
