earthquake in my land

actually, impossible if that happen in borneo land, where i live. but, that really happen.
i don't know, how big is it, i don't watch on tv, why. but i feel it. enough to make people around scare.
maybe our earth will change.

Even in Borneo not have big mountain (active) but earthquake can be cause by ground movement. As long as I remember, Borneo land made from sedimentation of mud. This kind of land easy to adapt with ground movement and it mean, in some level earthquake not gonna effect at surface. To make effect on surface, ground movement must on high scale (I don't know about this, maybe more than 3 on Richter scale).
But never say that not gonna happen, it's nature

west borneo. there is no earthquake at my place, since that day. i said imposible cause i never see history that borneo land have got earthquake. if sumatra, java, and sulawesi, that always happen.

Well, I haven't experienced earthquake, either.
Earthquake very rarely happen here in Madura. I wish it never happen ^_^.
I only watch earthquake news on TV, and I guess it was so scary that I never want to imagine it.
So, how's the condition there right now, henkipranada?
Is everybody there allright?

yes, we are alright here. earthquake just make people here shock. cause we here scare if tsunami happen, cause almost city in west borneo is 1 meter above sea.

you can always check the status of earthquake everywhere in this world by checking www.usgs.gov or in Indonesia you can check www.bmkg.go.id
Even in Borneo Island there is earthquake although usually the source is very deep ~300 km.

The most nearest source for Borneo earthquake is beneath the Java Sea between Borneo and Java. It is the end of two plateu joint. The beginning is beneath Hindia Ocean (South of Java Island) in which the most earthquake occurs.
Be glad that you live in relatively safe land.
