What are some ways to help my daughter get use to sitting in the bath tub? Since my daughter can sit up on her own now any time I give her a bath she start a freaking out little bit and want out and will climb up me like a little monkey to get out of her baby tub over the big tub into my lap. If you had this problem what did you do help your baby get use to it. I have little ducks in the tub with her and I give her a few bubbles to play with. I know the water isn't too hot or to cold for her because its the normal temp that she likes it to be at.

I actually stopped using the baby tub altogether once they were old enough to sit on their own. I just used the regular tub and got them bath toys and sat by the tub playing with them as I washed them. Shampooing their heads was always an unpleasant part of bathtime for them but other than that, they all pretty much loved the tub. Your mom's idea of climbing in with her might work except for she might just get used to it and then you'll have another problem in trying to break her from that.

Yes, That might work. That chair sounds pretty cool. They didn't have things like that when my girls were babies. I guess you could try getting into the tub with her and see if it helps her.

Well tonight was better. She sat in her tub by herself with out me being in there with her. I filled the tub up a bitter higher for her which seem to make her more happy. I think she was just getting to cold to quick since the water was a bit lower the last time I gave her bath. I gets that is all she wanted.

My mom use to do that with me and my brothers. It wasn't that hard to break. I've always hated water so someone with me always made it better till I wanted to do it on my own. My nephew he tries to run and jump in the tub so my mom takes baths with him because its easier to get him to sit still but he is only 4 years old. The only thing with putting her in our tub with out the baby tub is that I'm a scared she'll do something to hurt her self in the tub with it being kind of deep. I want to get this chair that is made for babies to sit in while they are in the tub and they have little toys on it and so. I'm hoping that it'll just the change that she isn't use to and I'm hoping she'll grow out of it. I'm thinking about just putting her in the baby tub and then me sitting in the big tub with her.

Get a rubber ducky tub from Target. They are relatively inexpensive. It is a blow up duck bathtub and if I remember correctly, it quacks too. It may be just enough to make bath time more interesting/fun and less overwhelming.

I'm not going to spend more money on another baby tub. She has one and she is taking on in there weather she wants to or not. I don't think it has to do with it not being entertaing for her because before she was sitting up she loved just kicking around and trying to eat the duckies. I think is just all to new to her to just sit up in there with it being so small and she can better see the water. It might be that she just needs more time to get use to being in the tub while sitting up and it being colder because less of her body is in the water at all times. That is new to her to being cold but wet. My mom suggested that I get in there with her which I might try. She don't take baths every day we take one every two or three dogs because its better for her skin not to be bathed very day like it is for us adults.

Bathe her in the kitchen sink...Get a rubber kitchen sink mat and put that down to keep her bum warm. In the sink she is up higher, and will be more secure because she is closer to you.

Well I don't like giving anyone a bath in the Kitchen especially in the sink that is just eww in my mind. Thanks for the suggestion but I don't think I has to do with the high, the bath tube and me are at the same leave with her while she is in there. The kitchen in my house is not a place to give my baby girl a bath in nor the dog.
