online gaming with little kids

So I still play video games but when I get on Xbox Live or PlayStation Network I can hear these little kids fighting with teenagers and adults. The game is rated M+17 which means mature content only for the ages of 17 and up. So what is going on? Do you let your kids play those kind of games? If you do, why? I can't see anything good coming out of little kids especially 14 and under playing these kind of games.

I don't have kids, but stupid teens on multiplayer cussing up a storm just because they can't aim is something that has kept me away from online multiplayer for anything. I plan on buying a PS3 so I can get some games I want to play, but I don't really intend to play multiplayer because of stupid kids on it.
I don't have any kids, but I do know that adults buy their kids M rated games because it's what the kid wants. Not that they actually look at the box or the back which says what sort of content is in the game. Some do, but others don't.
I would not let my kid, if I had one play M-rated games until they were mature and I wouldn't let them cuss up a storm on multiplayer.

The last part is very true I don't understand where they get it from until you meet the older players who can't really play and they start the storm. Parents should know about the ratings and be aware that older people are playing too and that they will cuss eventually.

I prevent my kid from playing this kind of game and I always remind young people to be wary of this stuff as they will get nothing out it. Parents should be responsible enoguh to censored this game and choose those that are wholesome and productive.
