Killing an innocent child

This morning I heard a news which a 7-year-old child was killed by his mother's live-in partner. His real father who was recently in jail heard the horrific news just cried. The suspect was found by the police and got jailed. The suspect requested to change jail location because the father was in the same jail with him. And he said, he was afraid with the father around.
I've been thinking, if he is afraid with the poor child's father, did he feel fear by the time he killed the child? Nor conscience at all?

I don't know why some women put men over their children and let these misfits abuse their children. Never seems to amaze me how stupid these women are to let someone harm their children. This reminds me of that case in Kansas City, Missouri about the little ten months old who have been missing for 10 days. The parents claim someone took her from her crib the police have search everywhere they could think of but still no baby.
There is evidence that the intruder went out the window but why go out the window when the front door is open. The police claim that the father never worked at night but he went to work that night the child came up missing and the front door was never left open at night. It sounds like a classic parent child abuse cover-up case.

Is the baby found after what happened? You are right. Parents nowadays are negligent when it comes to child rearing. Some parent blame their children for their misfortunes which the poor children did nothing at all. This kind of scenario is very long ago and still some of them didn't learn. But what concerns me, why do they kill these innocent kids?
