I wanted to go to Coron Palawan. I want to go swimming in Cayangan Lake which is said to be one of the cleanest freshwater lakes in the Philippines. Other parts of coron are said to be good for snorkeling and scuba diving. And the best part is, the island hopping! SO you guys, where is your next destination? :)

hi totallyundecided.
for my next vacation, i'm planning on going on a road trip to the baguio, vigan, and ilocos norte. haven't really mapped out my route or even set up my itinerary but these would be the next stops for my vacation. got something planned out already in the next few months so this northern trip will have to wait until january-february 2012.
coron is a go place to go, been there but really didn't enjoy the trip except for the island hopping. not a big fan of scuba diving but since i was there, i tried it. just think its overrated but that's just me TU. of course, if snorkeling and scuba diving is somethign that you fancy then by all means go for it.
do have fun!

Oh dear, my family is also planning to return to Palawan. The last time we go there, our vacation was just too short so we were unable to enjoy the whole place. We were in in a hurry to return to Manila due to some commitments but we promised ourselves to return to Palawan this summer. We would visit all the beautiufl places there and of course never to forget the Undeground River. I want to see this place again which is a now among the top 10 contenders to be included in the 7 wonders of the world.

Well, my next vacation (kind of), is going to be in New Orleans, Louisiana because that is where a conference that I am going to is going to be held at, and I can't wait to go, but I am hoping to really have fun when I get there.

My husband and I plan on travelling around in England, Wales and Scotland for one month in 2013. We want to visit a lot of different places during that month. I have lived in Scotland and I have been to London several times, but my husband has never visited the UK before, so he is really excited about our trip. I look forward to visiting Wales and I look forward to travelling around in England. There are many places in the UK where I have never been so the trip will be interesting for me as well.

I wish to visit my birthplace if I have time and will be given a chance.
Of course money is the first thing to be considered here.
I miss my birthplace it's been 23 years since I visited the place.
I miss my friends and classmates and wish to be with them again.

Palawan is a wise choice for a place to visit. I have heard about a good place to visit in Dumaguete. It is still relatively new. Naturally, it also involves the sea, the sand and the sun. That is always how it is in the Philippines.
For me, my target place to pay a visit is Sweden. My daughter resides there now and I would like to see the place where she has chosen to get settled for good. Yes, of course, I miss my daughter so much. We always get in touch, though.
These days, there are so many ways to keep in touch with our love ones. This is the beauty of enjoying an environment of well developed web of communication systems which are all available in our fingertips.

I would like to spend my next vacation in South America. Hopefully I am going to be flying into Buenos Aires and then take a bus over to Santiago in Chile to see my dear friend. I will see a few other places in that area of the world like Mendoza, Cordoba and the amazing waterfall between Argentina and Brazil. I wish to travel in March and April 2012. The year after I hope to have a vacation in Central America like traveling to Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama.
I have read much about the Philippines and seen some gorgeous photos. I would love to visit Coron. Palawan sounds like a very exciting and beautiful place. I hope that you enjoy going there and swimming in the lake. I am very keen on island hopping and snorkeling. I have been to places like the Seychelles and the Maldives where I have been able to do that. I hope to visit the Philippines in the future and I will choose to fly to Cebu.

It is just so unfortunate that my priest brother is assigned in Palawan and he is inviting us over countless times but we just can't afford the trip. I guess i will just have to keep on wishing that one day, we'll be able to finance the vacation.

Hi there! It's been a while since I have responded to any of the discussions, but this one really caught my attention :)
If I ever had time to go somewhere and spend my vacation there, it would definitely be the US. Despite the long flight and possible high expenses, I'm really curious on how it feels to be in a country known to the world for so many things. Its food, entertainment of course, lifestyle, etc.
Ps/: Btw the way the Cayangan Lake which you mentioned sounds very similar to Langkawi Island in Malaysia, with all the things u mentioned; freshwater lakes, snorkeling, scuba diving and not to forget, island hopping!

I would love to visit Boracay in philippines. IT's a nice place to hang out, with the sun, sand and the sea. It's popular with tourist, not forgetting it's a big area with many people. Much as i hate crowds, i'm willing to join in the fun, experience all that's there. Other than that, i would like to travel all over philippines as well and definitely cebu.

yes i'd also love to go to boracay also you should really visit Cebu, we have here different islands here where you can relax and just enjoy the beauty of the island. Malapascua and Bantayan are two of the most beautiful islands of Cebu Malapascua is considered as one of the best diving spots in the world and the only one where "meeting" with a famous thresher sharks is possible! In the city you can visit the historical places like Fort San Pedro and Plaza Independencia. Cebu city is pretty much like Manila

Hi TU,
I really want to go back to NY when I go on vacation again. It's a long hard trip for me, but I stayed with my brother and his wife last time.. and I would again. I didn't get to see my nieces last time... so this time I will see them also.
