You can try to gargle with salt water. That's what I read on the internet. When I had swollen gum, I tried that and it helped. Abt 2 mths ago, I had quite a bad toothache and I tried taking painkillers but it didn't help. So, I tried to apply Hisamitsu cooling pad (from Watson's pharmacy; but it might be available in other pharmacies as well) on the side of the face (ie. where the toothache was) and it worked! Such pads can be used for multiple purposes (one of them is to help in toothache).

Try to alternate warm and cold compress 15 to 20 minutes each. You can also take over the counter pain medications like aspirin. A simple soft rubbing does help too. I hope you feel better!

That happens to me some times too. I would take Advil when it happens. Advil is an excellent pain killer. And, I also frequently gargle with Lysterine. That kills the germs which are causing tooth aches. There are different types of Lysterine, as you know. You can choose the flavor you like.

Hi, I am sorry you have a toothache. Orajel is a cream for toothaches. You may want to try that. A hot washcloth or towel might also help. I hope you get better soon. You will be in my prayers.

Flush with sage. If you can get clove that would be even better. Put two or three cloves on aching tooth and bite it. It should help within minutes. Remember about sage. You have to flush your mouth often with sage tea or extract.
