So if any of your pay attention, there have been constant versions of a Batman cartoon for a very long time. The most recent one being Batman: The Brave and The Bold which will end with the third season.
Well there is a new one coming again in 2013 though which is called Beware The Batman. It is going to be CG animated, which seems to be the direction DC and WB are starting to go now with Green Lantern animated series first and now this one. The quick premise is well it's Batman LOL. He seems to be having some of the newer villains from recent comics such as Professor Pyg which may lead to a more adult tone maybe. The big surprise to me though is that initially his sidekick is Kitana, not Robin. Kitana, if you don't know, is an asian decent female who is amazing with swords. I'm not sure if any powers at all honestly since I haven't kept up with her.
Im really not sure if that is a good thing to do with Batman or not. I am going to post the promo screenshot here for you all to judge as well and we are going to throw in a little bit of a discussion on you favorite animated version of Batman as well.
My favorite is honestly Batman Beyond. Simply because it took a very well established character and idea and made it fresh and appealing. Then it became its own total identity thing. The character is now canon in the comics because of the impact he had, just like Harley Quinn. I thought there were a few times that it stretched oddly but it was a different take on the character and all the Bruce was there in the background, I don't think he needed to be at all. Terry could carry it himself.

The 90's Batman always have a place in my heart,I love the 1950's/1960's vibe going on, I love how the villains were portrayed. That Batman the animated series makes Batman's villains the most relevant super villain sever.I mean how many superman or Captain American villains are famous outside comic book readers, none.
I love how the backstories explained why a villain became evil. Its alsoshows the Unique Love story of Batman and Catwoman.
The other incarnations kinda suck. Batman Beyond offends Bruce Wayne fans, making him age and be replaced by a bratty skinny batman is insulting.
The Batman is okay
Batman Brave and the bold-is unwatchable, Its so childish,it removes the darkness and maturity of batman,
Batman going CGI,I dont know if its going to be good, 2d animation is always the best. No high tech 3d graphics can replace it.
Remember the failure the 3d animated Spiderman series is?

I tried to give Brave and the bold 4 chances, as in I watched for episodes and I cant stand it at all. I felt like I was watching an episode of powerpuff girls minus the humor, thats how I see that show,
I think CGI Batman,is going to be too scary for kids, they should target teens for this show,

I thought the same thing especially with the inclusion Of Professor Pyg. Not sure if you know who he is, but I very brutal surgeon is a somewhat apt title.

The 90's series was very good but to me it wasn't long enough episodes honestly. I would be all into the story and then oh wait its over nevermind.
To me Batman Beyond just made so much sense simply because there will be a point that he can't do it anymore no matter how hard he tried. The kid being bratty kinda made him have to grow up that much quicker.
The Batman I agree it was okay but could have been so much better at the same time.
Brave and The Bold feels like the 60's live action show to me which isn't totally bad but it isn't my Batman you know what I mean.
I do remember that failure on MTV. It had a good idea but man. Iron man armored adventures falls under that as well.

I don't know if it's a good idea to overload everyone with so much Batman, considering the DCnU relaunch has FOUR Batman titles, and it just seems like they're trying to cash in on the fact that Dark Knight Rising is coming out. I just hope it will be a good series, but maybe we should call him Batcow from now on, because he's DC Comics Cash cow.

I totally agree with you on the overs aturation. The new comics are pretty godo so far except for one I'm not to keen on because they messed up a fantastic villian in it. He is the cash cow now for sure

I actually loved Grayson in the cowl, but I am glad to see him back as Nightwing now. That is a good idea though I would watch the series in a heartbeat then because Damian is an awesome Robin as well.

I have to admit, I'm really looking forward to this. Then again I am a big batman fan even if I have just started to get into it in the last few years.
I'm a bit sad that Grayson as Robin won't be in it to begin with, but I'm hoping he'll be in as nightwing at some point. I amazingly have not heard of Kitana, I'll have to do some searching and find more information on her she sounds awesome!
I wonder though, if it has some of the newer villains will that include the Music Meister as well? I really hope so, especially if they get Neil Patrick Harris to play him again. Even though I love the other villains, I think he is my favorite one of all.
I'm just hoping this won't be like WB's The Batman that was on in the early 2000's, and perhaps more like Batman the Animated Series instead. I like The Batman, but the stories and backgrounds seemed a bit weird to me. I also really didn't like the Joker's redesign on it, it bugged me a lot, though the other redesigns for the most part were okay.
