Westboro Baptist Church to Picket Steve Jobs Funeral

Have you heard the terrible news that Westboro Baptist Church plans to picket Steve Jobs Funeral? And they had the gall to announce it on an IPhone.
I am uncertain what Jobs did to deserve such treatment.
Steve Jobs was a Buddhist so there may not be a traditional funeral or memorial. Or the family may choose to keep services private since he was such a private person.
Has anyone yet heard anything about funeral plans for Jobs? I have studied at a Buddhist Center near me. One of the beloved members passed and there was a 24 hour vigil for days before a ceremony and cremation. Is that typical when a Buddhist dies?

Typical media play by the so-called church (which, if I remember correctly, is almost entirely made up of a single demented family). They protest just about everything. I was as amused as you were by the fact that they sent the twitter message via iPhone: just another pointer that they don't give a crap about what they say, as long as it brings publicity. Pathetic.

You are right. They are a really disturbed family. Talk about dysfunctional.
I think everyone should ignore them. Don't give them any press. Behave like they are not there. And I think that they would go away. The media is giving them too much not deserved attention.

What can I say about this, I'm not an American. But I want, my piece for this one.
Like everyone else in the USA, there a lot of people also around the world who admiring and honoring Mr. Steve Jobs for what he have done and vision to all of us globally as a human being. And, the people of America should be proud of this man named Steve Job whether they like or not of what he have done personally or thru all of his works because of his dream, ambitions and visions.
For Westboro Baptist Church, I think I can not blame them also for what they have or what they want to do. This is all about American culture of democratic mass adventurism to voice out their grievances. But I don't know and I don't want to know about it. But, please give a little respects. Do they know the meaning of respects? Where are their humanities or what the use of it or if they have or know it?
If they will go on of they intended to do they are big embarrassment to humanity, people of USA, and also to every Christians. And, that is a sad to all of us.
