Hello everybody, I have some tables into a Word document and I need to perform some simple calculation using the data from those tables. But I don't know how to display the name of the rows/columns, so that to quickly find the cell references. I know I can count the row number and the column name but some tables are two pages long and there is a big risk of error (to mistake is human...) Does anybody know how could I display on top of the table a line with the column names and on the left of the table a column with the row numbers? I would appreciate any other idea to help me perform this calculations. Thank you.

Hello Octav, I'm sorry I don't know the answer to your question but I thought I could give you a tip (in case you don't know it already) You could change your Word tables into Excel tables, by inserting Excel tables into your document. This way you could perform whatever calculations you want. In fact, Word help itself advice us to use Excel when we need complicated formulas.

Oh, I knew about the possibility to insert Excel tables into my Word document but I wouldn't like to do this, as some of my tables are long (two or three pages long!) and I don't know how Excel would support this. I am still waiting for another response, I'm sure there is a possibility to do what I want to do. Maybe somebody will come with a good answer. Thank you for your kind answer, anyway.
