Honestly speaking I do not have touch screen phone and I have used others' occasionally.
To me it looks difficult to type on touch screen phone. I understand it requires lots of practice with nimble fingers.
I have normal phone withheld full key pad and I feel easier to write on this kind of phone.

Rest assured I would try my best to understand your text, even if you commit some typing errors.

Hi..
It is hard fr me to use the T9 cause it is only provide it with english words
i came from indonesia so i have to split it over aand over again between T 9 and normal
but even it is not effective, i should try it just like you. Who knows that i can reduce this mistaken typing words..thanks a lot for your tip

I used to have samsung star, which is a touchscreen phone with a pen with it... it was easier with that one but now i have a new phone, samsung corby 2 which i find a lot more difficult because it does not have a pen with it and the space of its virtual keypad is smaller..but i got used to it now. i guess ifa, you need more practice.. i did lol

Hi Jazel...
It is easier with the pen inside it. It makes typing more focus.
Practice does makes better...i only wish that samsung put a navigation arrow like up and down and right left arrow so it is much easier.to cirrect one word.
You can see now that i get better in typing. ..Thanks to my lot cause it push me to type...lol

Yes, I do made a lot of mistakes in typing out words using the QWERTY keypad of my touchscreen phone especially that I've only been using my touchscreen phone for barely a week. I discovered that I was able to type faster and more accurately when I changed the phones keyboard settings to the old 3 x 4 (T9) keypad.
I still the Qwerty keypad when I can leisurely type or when I am not in a rush. But when I am rushing, the T9 keypad works perfectly for me.

If I am right, now a days, all the touch screen phone comes with two key pad options, the normal mobile keypad and also the QWERTY key pad, so if you are quite comfortable with the normal mobile key pad, change your settings to that and you will be able to type faster and better.

Grrr I have an iPhone4 and it is all touch screen, darn the auto correct feature although it is suppose to be easy, usually types in the wrong word. The only suggestion is to do it slowly and or preview before we submit it.
I often swear it is all spelled right to find that I have to send a second correction type message. lol

Yeah...
It is often error..mine is samsung galaxy mini. So the lcd.is.more narrow than i pad
Moreever...there is no right, left,up and down arrow just to correct one mistake word...
So if i miss typing a word i have to erase the whole words
i should preview it first before i send it...but because my internet speed is so slow i am too lazy to preview it

Same problems as I encounter. It's very hard to use a touchscreen phone. My fingers aren't fit and always reaches the other letters. It's tough to use.
