Increasing my reputation points (480) now

Although I am not an "old member" lol Firstly naseemkum (480) the 480 is not the total number of participation's. If you can remember that during your own started discussions you earn for all your participation but only can get one point. While you responds to others discussions you can gain a maximum of 2 points, no matter how many times you participate in the others discussions, you will continue to earn but not gain anymore points. When you violate guidelines and discussions/responses/comments get deleted then not only do we loose points but earnings too.

Hello Naseemkum, You seem confused about the myLot term "reputation". Your reputation is the way the other users see your activity here. Your star shows your reputation. The number on the right of your name is your rating. It shows your level of activity but it is not the sum of all your posts. For instance, if you further a discussion you have participated in, you may have 10 posts into that discussion but your rating will increase with only 1 point. If you use to write comments into other myLotters boxes, you can earn an extra point from that discussion. Remember that regardless the number of rating points you earn from a discussion, your balance will increase with each post you write (of course, if it's of quality, you know that). As for the decrease in your rating, it happens when the responses/comments/discussions you wrote were deleted. This may happen because you violated some guidelines or because the discussion you participated in was deleted for the same reason. This question of yours had its answer into the FAQs. About you losing the 7 points, probably 7 of your posts, discussions have been deleted due to rule violation. Its ok when considering other forums where u get banned if u do violate even unknowingly. Mylot is better in that way.

^^ That number is the participation you have done in mylot.. You need to read the guidelines to know how that works. Also, as you work mylot and you happen to answer a discussion that mylot deemed to delete, you will loose any points you gained from that discussion. Some days I find that I loose many points because of discussions that have disappeared, because they were deleted. It happens. It us just apart of how it works. Hey I was over 1560 and now I am working on rebuilding those that I lost..lol I will not worried about it. IT depends also what discussions you choose and that is what I am doing now watching which I will answer and those that if I do, take a chance it will be deleted.. Had one deleted in the last 24hrs.. it happens.. it is how Mylot works..

well, I have seen those 482 is quite good number and you are consider active here in mylot.. I have heard we will have advantage if can exceed 500.. Something like copy and paste to every discussion which is not allowed for beginner..Maybe if we able to exceed 500, mylot has consider our loyalty and active participants here.. However, for reputation stars I am not really sure how they can be increased.. I think by actively give nice and right response will help us to improve it..

As you start a discussion, the number in the brackets increase only by one point and that is it. No matter how many posts you write under your discussion, only earnings will increase but the numbers within the brackets will not increase at all. But if you are responding to other people's discussions, the earning will increase and also the points(xxx) will also increase. Here, is you respond more than two times in a single discussion then you will only receive a maximum of two points but earnings will be increasing as per post. Cheers! naseemkum
