Good day..raji. Did you read the first post, as it will explain that even tho' it doesn't assist with earnings..it certainly "boosts" the ego of the author..and when I get one, it really makes my day! Sort of like a pat on the back for a good job done...and I think we could all use a few more of those!
Is there a reason for not selecting a "best response?"
Forgot to say, Welcome to myLot, and if you would take a moment to read the FAQs you will learn that "good responses" that earn you money are those that are descriptive as possible...good quality content. As a very wise lady here at myLot points out..YOU type, YOU earn...I type, I earn. Enjoy your stay here..and Cheers!

arya007 shades of J ames bond? any way I do but I wait a week to two weeks to allow all my many friends to have a chance to read my discussion then go back and resolve all my outstanding discussions. I mean why not give brs on all my discussions. my G it only takes a few seconds to decide the best, its not rocket science and we are not graded on it. Its just a nice pat on the back to
encourage all mylotters to do their best in posting.no earnings involved but surely we can forgo the money hunger craze for a few
moments to do something nice just because it is nice.no we do not earn for it but so what? surely we can all be nice for free to others occasionally?

I don't choose the best response all of the time. There are times where there are many high quality responses, and I cannot choose so I just don't select a best response. It will be unfair if I choose a response as the best when there are other responses that are just of the same quality.:)

Yes I always choose a best response and also rate the discussion adn respond to the responses.. I think of it as a way of showing thanks in a quantitative way..But ofcourse I dont wait for a week.. Maybe I should

Yes, I will select the best response for every of my discussion. But I will not decide which is the best so soon. Usually I will wait for over a week and then I will review and consider which response is the best. So it will be fair for everybody who has shared their opinions to my discussions.

Welcome to mylot arya!
Yes I usually let my discussions set for a week and try to comment on responses and also pick a best response.
If you take the time to respond to someone's discussion, shouldn't the person that started the discussion take the time to at least read the responses and make a choice of best response?
But sometimes if you have a lot of people respond to a response, then you may find it impossible to reply to all of them of course.
Have a wondeful day.

I usually don't select best response in my post but thanks for pointing it . I will start marking best response it has something to do with star ratings of that user. That encourages the user.

I select the questions I have an opinion about and I can say something about.
Some subjects I only read, they are not really a question, not waiting for an answer.
I also noticed that some subjects are always deleted (might be te way of writing) so I won't waste time on that anymore either.
I like a good discusion, also to read different opinions so it's not really a problem to me if "everyone" is responding at the same discussion.
If it's important to you to earn something you should check your account and see what is in your list of best responses.
What is different between those responses of you and the other ones?
You are the only one who can find that out.
