The Weekend is Just too Short

I used to have Fridays off so I get 3 day weekends. But since Friday has been added to my week the weekend seem to be too short.
I spend half of Saturday sleeping because I am so tired from the previous week and spend almost all of the other half cleaning and stuff. Then I spend about half of Sunday preparing for the week ahead; then the cycle just repeats itself over and over again.
Do you think your weekend is short too? is your weekend shorter or longer than my weekend?

I can relate to that 100 percent. That was my life also. The weekend would come and before you knew it, it was Sunday night and the next day was work. I have done that for 32 years. I got to the point that I forgot what it was like to be human. I also felt like I missed an entire lifetime, it passed in a blur, now those days are gone. It is a cycle, a vicious cycle. It does go on and on and repeated itself. It does feel like there is no end in site. But, bear with it, it will end and then you will wake up and be 30 years older and wonder what happened to all those years.

2wicelot I can i magine it would be hard having had three day weekends to now have an ordinary weekend. I am retired and have
the whole week off and here I am sitting here yawning Ineed
two hours more of sleep although I thought I had slept well
last night now I can hardly function.. all I can think of is
crawling into my bed and snuggling down under the covers. yawn
think that is jus t what I must do.

Hi Hartley,
I wouldn't mind going back to sleep too right about now, . Last week was quite hectic and it seems all the sleep I had last night and this morning is still not enough.
I guess I had the 3 day weekend for too long and I am finding it a bit hard to readjust to the normal 2 day weekend.

Hi 2wice lot: For now I'm working on tuesdays, thursdays, saturday and sunday so I have a lot of day offs and I use them trying to feel relaxed and doing the things that I enjoy to do. It's not actually really complicated and at the same time, I love my job that brings me the opporunity to stay online and when I have enough time to enjoy being in places like here. At the same time, when I plan to do something special like going to the movies or have a special day, I try to make it as nice as possible to enjoy this special permission I have given to me.

If u have friday added on to your weekend, it's not short at all when majority of us has only 1.5-2 weekends. Long weekends is a priviledge to me, not a luxury like yours. IF i had your amount of time, i would have planned a weekend getaway trip to relax myself. Right now, i've got only 1 weekend per week, if not, 1 weekend every 2 weeks. Be glad to have that much of time and use it wisely.

i only have 1 1/2 days during weekends since Saturday is only for half day, morning only. Like you i would usually spend the afternoon sleeping trying to catch my lost sleep during the weekdays, where i wake up early.
Sundays would usually be spent with the family going to church after breakfast and having some groceries. The rest will be cleaning our bedroom and the rest is watching TV and relaxing. But yes, i do find them short and i am always excited if there are holidays.

Hi friend, well for people who are busy the weekends seem short... We plan so many things to do during that time but the plans are not always successful and we feel that why we get such a short time ... but as usual there are 24 hours but still our changed plans make us think like that only....

I also think that same way. The weekend is too short.. When Monday is coming I have ready to go to school. Friday is last. Then the Saturday I have two classes. It end when it noon. I get 1 day free. Because I am telling weekend is too short. I don't know how fast the days gos...!

Mine is shorter sometimes, too. There are times that I only have a half day of the sunday as my break of my busy week. It's because I spend my half day in sleeping, too. However, I still have to do a lot like cleaning the house and doing a lot of requirements. I do want to extend my weekend, however, I should not because I still have to attend my duty and classes. Though, I only have sunday as my weekend, I am still thankful of it. At least I have a day to be relaxed.

3 days of weekend ???....I get one and a half day since we work half days on Saturday and by the time reach home it is nearly 2 pm, so you can imagine how short my weekend is.But I have no complaints since I have no other option but to make the most of it, I too sleep late and wake up late on Sundays and before I know it is over...

i think my weekend is short too because i love my weekend. they say that time flies when you are having fun and i thin weekends are fun because you get to spend time on whatever you want and not being obliged to do anything or you can be lazy the whole day.
