Do you think that premium accounts really work for getting projects in freelancing websites.
I am not sure but I want to get genuine projects from freelancing websites to work on , but most of the time I am not able to get the projects from the freelancing website. Do you have any experience of having or getting the projects after taking the premium membership?

It doesn't improve your chances on its own: most premium accounts simply let you bid on more jobs or on the jobs that are limited to premium-only. If you're not getting jobs anyway, you'd be better off examining why rather than spending money on more opportunities to not get picked.
I paid for membership for one month, once, on Elance but it didn't make any difference apart from allowing me to bid on more stuff. I still landed the same amount of work.

I've only used the freelance writing category but yes, it's rough getting the first job. From the people I've spoken to (and my own experience), it takes about a month on average. It's definitely worth sticking with it, though - all but one of my regular clients have come from the bidding sites.

I actually tend to think that having a premium account with any kind of a site is basically a scam. The reason that I feel that way is because of the fact that in all of the time that I've been looking for ways to earn money working from home, I've heard time and time again that you should never spend money when you are looking for work because that is the number one sign of a scam. In fact, I'm ashamed to say that I've been a victim of that before.
