How can you make money on the Internet?

What is the best way to make money on the internet??Is it free lancing or just sitting and discussing this entire matter?Please post your experiences here.I just need to chronicle them and see whether the internet is truly a money making machine or on the contrary is just another way to lure gullible people.

There ARE legitimate work at home jobs out there. The thing is though, nothing really comes easy. You would have work from home just as if you were working in an office in order to make it work. I've been working as a freelance writer for several years, and I also work for an inbound call center from home. Both pay more than a regular 9 to 5 would for me. The only downside is that work at home jobs usually do NOT offer insurance benefits, and you are responsible for your own taxes. Sites such as MYLOT and the sites where you take surveys or read e-mails are fine only as some side change to go see and movie and dinner every few weeks or so, but they are not what I would consider a true "work at home" job.

For me , in those times the best way to earn money on internet it's buying diffusion space in US and resel it in France ( I'm french ) .
I use the diference dollar/euro ; I win
25% on every transaction .

I have also spent abt 4 yrs working online but only a handful of companies actually do pay..the sureshot way right now is still the suto surf sites..but not all of them .there are a few which have around for years..

Are you using your own paid site and domain or fee ones? For example,for amazon.com,I tried blogspot.com,where I have free blogging site and amazon.com account.I was not clear about the rule.Hence I did not proceed further.
My question is,do you require your own domain and website for amazon.com?Or will free site and domain do?
