What do you think are the reasons for which the Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to Barack Obama?
Barack Obama is the fourth President to win the Nobel Peace Prize behinf Theodore Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, and Jimmy Carter. Tell with us why YOU think President Obama won this prestigious award.

From what I can recall, he won the award for his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples. I think the committee that gave him the award really liked his promotion of nuclear non-proliferation & the new climate in international relations he brought about, particularly the way he reached out to the Muslim world. Unlike the other presidential examples you have given, he was the only one to get the award in his first year in office!
We will always remember the deep humility with which he accepted the award & that he gave all the prize money away to a great many charities.
I guess the perception may be somewhat different within US borders, but we really think he deserved it down here!
