Hi Pinoy mylotters! I wanted to ask something... My question is... "How to ship parcels using post office?" I am teenager and I never knew what post office really was. Before, I thought post office were just used to send snail mails and now I knew that I could ship parcels. Ca anyone here please guide me? How much does it cost (in range) to ship, local and international? Sorry, I really don't have a clear background of post offices. Actually, I think, I have never seen one, maybe if I did, I didn't knew it was a post office. LoLs

Why shipping your parcel in Post Office? Why not using other services like Johny Air, 2Go, and etc? I don't actually trust Philippine Post office because i encountered several problems with their services. Are you sending your parcel abroad? or within Philippines only? If local, I don't recommend LBC because even if you pay for express, the service is delay. We are once a loyal client of LBC but what we get is negative feedback from our clients. lots of complains! Anyway, i guess it depends on the area.

Those couriers cost much. I just notice that there are eBay sellers in Hong Kong who sell a product which just cost 0.99$ and they give free shipping.. so I wonder, if there are ways here in the Philippines in a cheap way..

@ybong OMG! really.. I am planning to buy an item from dealextreme and it says free shipping wolrdwide. I am thinking that I might not get the item that I am about to purchase because they (dealex) might be sending the item thru parcel or regular post. wahhh! Do you have any suggestion if I'll pursue buying it.. I am kinda sad now.

After that experience I decided not to purchase anything from ebay if it uses regular post. It would be more secure if the delivery is through courier but you have to consider the cost. I think ebay has some kind of buyer protection in place though, so you might consider that as well.

There is a post office named Philpost in Lawton in Manila. It is near Manila City Hall and Quiapo.Familiar? When you bring your package there, they're gonna open your package and transfer it in a package box with a Philpost logo. They're gonna tape it using packaging tape. Regular shipping costs around php 3,000. It takes 15-20 days for your package to be arrived. Fast Shipping costs around php 6,000. You might be also paying the Customs Duty that needs to be paid if you're gonna export products to other countries.

The shipping is international. Not sure if the cost if lower if it's just small. But I'm sure the costs are standard. You're welcome.

Is shipping rate affected by the weight of the package?

Take EMS or 2GO the charges are cheap and their services are really great.
