Good day dear fellow mylotters, Truly indeed that listening to music can affect somebody's behaviour and mood. Just like what I have witnessed when I have ride a public utility bus this day. That due to the beat of the music, the driver of the bus drives so fast. As his driving behaviour was really affected by the music beat. And since the music beat so fast, we have reach my stop too quickly. I have reached my stop in just 30 minutes wherein the normal travel time that I usually encounter is 1 and a half hour. Well, I can say that it is good since I have reached my destination in few minutes but honestly, I feel scared since the driver drives beyond the expected limit.

Haha that was really good. It's bad if the driver is listening to sad and slow songs, then your travel time will be longer. I agree that music affects our mood. Whenever I'm down, I will listen to lively music, or rap music and I will feel good. Whenever I listen sad music, I will feel down, too.

Yes, Very much. like me, when I hear some old songs I feel sad. I really don't know why, but that's just how I feel whenever I hear them and when I hear happy songs I feel like dancing, i feel happy. I think it's kind of weird because it's like the song we're listening to is telling us to be happy or sad and we feel it. at least that's what i think. I don't know about you guys. but that's just me. lol :)

Being a musician I definitely know it's true that music affects how a person feels. Music is all about the way you emotionally react to it. Listening to heavy music when I'm angry seems to help me relieve my anger and listening to soft chill-out music when I'm tired helps me to chill out. The music you listen to reflects your mood.

Yes. I agree with what you've said. If I were the driver I would also drive that fast. Haha. Music really affects my mood because every time I heard an energizing song, I feel so energetic to do things and of course whenever I hear a sad song, I feel like to reminisce those sad memories I've had and I would be sad the whole day.

Oh what a timely discussion for me Ms. airasheila, btw, just last day I was struggling about something in my life. I feel so down and so miserable. I even made another discussion about men who are emotional. There is this kind of song that inspired me and slightly brought some good thoughts in me. I sounds so hopeful and wanted to download it on the internet. If youre a Filipino then the song should be so familiar it is entitled "Natutulog pa ang Diyos" (God is still asleep). The song emphasize that what ever we have or what ever trouble we encounter, there is always someone who is ready to reinforce our spirit to go on and fight with Him. =)

LoL.. yes Music gives different moods to different people.. Some music makes people cry, some makes them hyper, some makes them speed, some just relax, & most happy.. I have seen different effects on different people as well most of the time is good.. So yes when a situation like that happens its ok just remember he's a bus driver most of them know how to drive well.. just hold on tight & think positive..

I think that a lot of people completely underestimate the effect that music can have on us, and because of that they don't take advantage of music to cheer them up when they might be feeling a little bit down with the things that are happening in their lives at the time. Whenever I am feeling down, I sit and listen to some upbeat music, and I always find that it manages to cheer me up no matter what happened to be wrong with me at the time. I know that it works for my brother as well, as I have taught him to use music to choose his mood.

Oh, that's really scary! That's not allowed to exceed into that speed. I just hope that he better be careful next time because the lives of his passengers are at stake here. I just really hope so to avoid accidents in the future. Anyway, about music, yes! That's really true. My mood is really affected by the music I'm hearing. Music is actually my favorite past time and outlet when I'm sad. I choose to listen to gospel music when I'm down. However, whenever my brother would turn on his favorite rock and really not good music (especially with bad words and hates in it) I really become pissed off instantly. That's why I'd rather go out of the house when he couldn't be stopped. The fact is, music influence people's behavior depending on what type of music they listen to. Some music subconsciously develop hate, distrust, and unkind behavior to a person. Not many people know this but it's proven. So, we better be careful on choosing the kinds of music we like listening to or better yet, review the music that we love. Especially with children because they don't know and understand what it is that they listen to. Nice discussion!

That bus driver must loved the song and music that was plying? Maybe he wanted to rush? Music can alter your mood and make you feel differently depending on the emotions the song reflects but I don't think it will change your mood to the point that you would want to drive like the speed of light! I always play songs when I'm on the computer, I'm actually listening to heaps of music right now as I write on Mylot. It's pretty much music to my ears right now and I'm just enjoying the beats and lyrics. But if I was in a very depressed or sad mood, I would want a happy song to make me feel better or play a really sad song to make myself feel even worse

Music always brings more energy to human's mind and thus to the body.Beat of the music directly affects the heart beats. This time the affect was good to you.But driving fast hearing music is not at all safe. Passengers have responsibility to remind it to any driver on doing so.

music can really affect the mood of a person, depends on the genre. Most people use music to boost their performance, but using music can be relaxing as well. I dont really mind people driving like crazy, it's just that im really adventurous and out-going, but still i prefer to sit on the opposite side where the driver is and around the middle (when in bus) cause the damage there in case of collisions is minimized.
