My musical instrument

At various times in my life I have played four instruments. The first was clarinet, and that lasted about a year. Then my parents decided on the advice of my dentist that I should switch to something in the brass family that would push my teeth back into alignment after the clarinet pushed them out. They decided that I should play a baritone horn. It was not my favorite -- I think I would have liked a trumpet better, but I got good at it. In junior high I started to teach myself piano so that I could figure out the tunes for hymns our congregation never sang and practice the alto part for choir anthems at home. I never became proficient. Same with guitar. I learned enough chords to accompany my Sunday school class when I was teaching them new songs and also to just accompany myself when I was alone. Music has always had an important part in my life.

I truly love listening to soothing melodies and admire talented musicians who can play musical instruments. I am totally handicap in playing any musical instrument but I appreciate music.

I always wanted to learn how to play the violin, but I really didn't get the chance to learn, let alone own one. I might try again one of these days. For now, I recently started playing the guitar. My brother just decided to buy one when there was a sale happening for it since the founder of the store branches decided to have a sale on his birthday. The longer we wait, the higher the discount would be. So we really waited in line until the discount was up to fifty percent! We were able to purchase two guitars, a classic and another one that can be both classic as well as one that you can plug to an amplifier. So far, I only know basic things with a guitar. Just got busy with lots of things.

I started playing music for the first time when I was six years old and I started taking piano lessons for the first time. I continued to play the piano until I was in the 8th grade. Then, when I was in 4th grade I started playing the viola and also performing in a choir as well. I continued to play the viola at school through the 9th grade and then I also took private lessons when I was in college. Now, I prefer to sing because it is something that I really enjoy doing. My friends and I go to karaoke on a regular basis.

I love playing musical instruments, too. But I am into erhu which is an old Chinese instrument. I love the sound of it, just reflect my personal characters.

I play e piano. I used to own a guitar, an organ and a keyboard. But I don't quite like playing e guitar and so I gave up learning halfway.

I can play the piano because my parents made me take years of lessons. However, I don't play it. I never liked it. But my sister can and DOES play the piano. She also plays the flute very well. She can play the saxophone a little bit, but she plays the piano and flute very well. I really like the flute. As an adult she gives piano and flute lessons too.

I am very much a music addict. I would listen to all kinds of music in the evenings after I get back home from my work. Tha's my way of relaxation too. Classical music is my favorite and I just love the sound of the harp, very beautiful and enchanting. I don't play it yet, but I have been dreaming of learning to play the harp.

I learnt some piano and guitar but I can tell you I don't have the discipline to put up with hours and hours just to learn a cord! I guess when it comes to play an instrument you have to have that inbuilt desire to do so...I love music and have lots of music from all over the world!

I really do envy those who have many talents especially playing musical instruments. I am a music lover too and I like listening to good songs a lot. During my teen years some of my friends found time to learn how to play the guitar and other musical instruments. It's really sad that during those days I'm not that hooked to learn how to play these instruments. I guess now, it's too late for me to learn how to play even the guitar.

Hi! We share the same feeling. When I play the piano especially in the church it relaxes me especially when i feel depressed or stressed.

Sadly I can't play any instrument. When I was a child I really wanted to play music but you know not everybody is blessed with wealthy family and I was not able achieve my dreams. I really would love to learn how to play on cello. I have real sentiment to this unique instrument. My partner promised me that if one day our financial situation will be stable he would buy cello for me and he would do everything to pay for my cello lessons. What a wild dream ha?

Mine is a guitar, too. I started playing when I was heartbroken two years ago. On a whim, I bought a guitar and took guitar lessons. I don't play so much these days, but back then I played daily and I even made several songs. I think I'm still in the beginner level and there's so much more to learn. However, these days I can't find the time to play and I honestly think my skills are rusty now.

That is very clever of you to do a composition. When I was a younger child, I learnt the piano accordian. In my late teens I learnt classical guitar. I had always thought about learning to play the piano, especially classical. My daughter learnt piano for a few years. It has crossed my mind, when I have don't have to work, to learn the piano.

That is wonderful. I do not know how to play any musical instruments. I would love to learn though.

actually, my musical instruments was a piano, when i junior high school i change and learn guitar cause my piano can't be played anymore. now, i playing bass cause only that need in my band. i like music, very like.

I don't play any musical instruments. I love music absolutely but never learned how to play anything. I absolutely love guitars and drums but sadly don't know how to play them. I have been trying to learn guitar on my won buy boy that is being a challenge

I never had to chance to play any musical instrument but i love to. I like to try piano and guitar but I always don't have the time.I hope maybe someday I could play them.
