Getting referrals

So I want to know how people get referrals, I know to send links to friends and etc but how do you get referrals? I just read a recent post about someone getting over 100+ referrals, can anyone help me out?

I have a blog which discusses various money making issues, and I have put there all banner that I have been associated with. And I get some referrals from there.

I also have a blog but its starting up and I haven't gotten many views from it yet.

One thing I did was put my referral link as my signature for when I post on the message boards on IMDb. I did that for a brief period and ended up getting one referral from it. Unfortunately he was only active for a very short period though. That's about the only thing I've ever tried though. But I wish I could get over a 100 referrals on here. Especially if they were active!

I'm having a hard time finding active referrals and my friends that I have added on here really don't use this site.

Talk to your friends personally about mylot.It is better than just giving them your referral link because you can assure you can assure they are joining.Also if you have a blog you can share your link there.There are even more ways than that.Actually I have referred some users,but all of them left mylot.Maybe they aren't patient enough.Good luck.

I have but they are not really active as I am on this site. They haven't gotten hook I guess.
