Hey fellow MYLOTTERS...
As you all know, I absolutely LOVE to read, whether its articles in a magazine, internet, or even on a cereal box LOL..
Anyway, I came across one of my brothers fitness magazines and found some REALLY interesting tips, in relation to the bodies food intake to increase concentration and reduce stress!!! So here we go..
Want to relieve stress?... Food containing Potassium, aids the regulation of blood pressure and nerves- so try eating foods such as: BANANAS, POTATOES, AVOCADOS AND SPINACH!!!
Food containing B-vitamins helps boost the nervous system...WHOLEGRAINS, LEAFY VEG, EGGS AND CHICK PEAS.
Foods containing Vitamin C helps boost the immune system *as well all know*.. MELON, PAPAYA, CHERRIES AND GUAVA.
This one I found THE MOST INTERESTING---- Magnesium, is crucial as we tend to lose high amounts through raised stress levels!!! So foods such as POPPY SEEDS, PINE NUTS, RYE BREAD AND SOYA are great boosters.
There were many more little tips, how to improve concentration etc.. and I dont want to go copying the article, I just thought I would post the most important- which I felt were stress related, as I think the less stressed you are, the better your concentration will be anyway!!!
Hope this helps some of you.. as I have found this information pretty invaluable.. (",)

Your guidline are really informative ,you got nice information regarding a healthylunch.
However i would say anythign which we like is healthy, which can make us hungry and love to eat.
What is the need to eat food which we feel ,"why should we eat "
We live a short life, should live happily, should eat what we like and feel good .
Should observe a little care ,not carry conditions always and measurements of the quantity .

Hi umabharti..
I do agree that 'anything we like is healthy' however I truly believe that this should be in moderation- such as foods high in saturated fats etc can be more harmful than good to us..
I understand where you are coming from, that we live a short life and we should simply enjoy the foods that our taste buds desire- as In actual fact this means this is what our bodies REALLY want *well apparently*..
Im not one of those people who measures each serving etc.. I eat what I want, when I want, however I do take care not to over do it- Like my chocolate binge on my birthday LOL...(",)

I totally agree with you umabharti... I have always said this to my younger siblings too- NEVER WASTE FOOD.. even if you feel like you cant eat it, then save it and eat it later, but NEVER throw away food.. there are millions of people in the world that could do with the mass amounts that we throw away on a daily basis.!
And I definitely do enjoy many foods in life.. but its always in moderation LOL.. (",)

Same here. I even read shampoo, soap and toothpaste labels, especially while I'm p--ping. Haha.
Anyway, thanks for the info. I have a terrible headache right now and I'm thinkig that I'll eat bananas. I think headaches are caused by poor blood circulation, hope the bananas help. I brought 2 from home, good thing I listen to whim.
I think I want soy milk too. I miss how it tastes! YUM

Your post is interesting although I knew most of it. I think that a well balanced meal has just about everyone of those elements. Vitamin C is present in a lot of fruits and veggies and vitamin B is also present in meats. I have my small vegetable patch and this helps me a lot as I eat food without pesticides so that I can eat many veggies or fruit without having to peel them.
Thanks for sharing!

As far I know, medically, there are some foods that are dubbed "Brain Food" because these foods can be useful to add memory and stimulate the growth of brain cells, namely:
1) Salmon because they contain omega-3 fatty acids, DHA and EPA are essential for growth and development of brain function.
2) Eggs contain protein substances as choline, a substance that can help the development of memory or the memory.
3) Peanut butter is a source of vitamin E is an antioxidant that may protect nerve cell membranes and helps the brain.
3) Whole grains because they contain B vitamins to maintain healthy functioning nervous system.
4) Oat / Oatmea because they contain fiber.
5) Berry, because they contain high levels of antioxidants and rich in omega-3 fatty acids.
6) Nuts because it can sustain the energy and thinking ability.
7) Vegetables rich in color as a source of nutrients and antioxidants that will keep brain cells strong and healthy.
8) Milk and yogurt because it contains high protein and B vitamins. Two types of nutrients essential for growth of brain tissue, neurotransmitters and enzymes.
