I dreamed of my Ex-boyfriend

I wasn't thinking about him for a long time, not at all so I was really surprised this morning when I realized that I dreamed about my ex. He was about to give something to his cousin who was my friend, but he was not looking and his cousin went out of the picture and I came so it would seem that he was giving something to me. I did not of course, took that something and just waited for him to look back so he would know that I was not his cousin. And then we looked at each other but I just went on and walked away. ^^
The dream happened seemingly at my school and after that scene, I was climbing up and down several stairs meeting a lot of foreign exchange students.
I'm not sure what this dream means but it really seemed weird to me. ^^

They said dreams are the active subconscious in us that are not expressed verbally when we are awake. It's a kind of longing that is suppressed and wanted to be expressed but because it has been buried in our subconscious we do not know that they exist until we dream. of it. The characters represent us not necessarily the person you saw in it. Maybe during the day, you might have been very busy and occupied with something that has an impact to you. Try to recall and you yourself can interpret what it means. :-) It's okay to dream. Sometimes, they can even guide us what to do and how to deal with a particular situation. As for me, i usually have dreams of something that is going to happen. Having this kind of dream, it gives me confidence on doing a particular event.Seldom that i dream of something in the past. Most often I could hardly remember my dream.:-)lol. I can only remember it when it happens in the early morning. It remains very vivid and very real to me because I can remember the details of it.

I agree there. I have always believed that dreams are part of our subconscious where the things we want secretly are hidden and unexpressed. Having said that, I know sometimes I imagine what could have happened if we didn't break up, but it's hard to admit that I'm still hung up over him. I'm sure in myself that I don't have any feelings for him.
I think I also sometimes dream of things that are about to happen. I just don't think about it and when it really happens, it just occur to me like a deja vu. In fact, sometimes I'm confusing dreams to reality and I don't know if a deja vu has really happened to me before or I'm just imaging it.

I used to write my dreams but it's just hard to keep it up especially when you're always in a hurry in the morning.
Wow. A dream from the year 1999? You still remember it??

Maybe the best hing you can do if you dream again, is to write it down so that you can keep a record of it.If one day, you think and feel that you have gone to a place or have been in a certain situation before, you go back to your journal to check if it was in one of your dreams. That vivid dream I had way back in 1999 is still clear in my mind up to this time. I am still waiting if that would really come true.:-) Just like the line of the song' Dreams do come true..." :-)

I know right! I dream of my ex boyfriend a lot too. Actually, maybe like once a week or something like that. It's crazy. I have no idea what is going on. Sometimes I see us as friends, sometimes we don't talk, sometime like we never were in a relationship and strange things like that. I had seen his dream about two days ago. It's really strange

Me and my ex are also friends in Facebook but like you, we don't really chat and we don't even comment or like whatever we post, in short, it's like ignoring each other. I think I started that though. We were commenting on a picture posted by a common friend and when he tried to tease me, I completely ignored him.

How long have you broken up? Me and my ex have been in our separate ways for a long time, a few years now, maybe six or seven. We don't see each other anymore and we don't talk a lot. I don't know where he is now or what he is doing. So it's really weird to even dream of him.

It has been around 4 years for me. I don't talk to him at all but he did add me on facebook about half a year ago and I accepted it. And that is only where i see him but don't really chat or whatever.

oh wow i am not good at things like this... especially dream interpretation as i have no idea on how attached you are to the person.
I think though that since he is trying to give you somethng and think you are his cousin, maybe you sometimes (think of him too, maybe at the back of your mind and you just don't realize that you do... ) and you must have not admitted this even to your self

I do realize and admit that I think of him once in a while but I am sure to myself that I don't have any feelings for him anymore.

Some says that when you dream about a person, it's because you have been thinking about him/her lately. But I don't believe so. This kind of dream happens to me too and the funny thing is, I'm sure that in my dream, it's my husband that I was with and so I treat him as my husband. It just so happened that when he turned around and looked back, it's the ex's face that appears! LOL! Really, I just find it very ridiculous because I and my ex are okay. We are good friends and we both have happy families on our own. It just doesn't mean anything.

That's really weird! I guess it's just because there are people who have been part of our lives that have made an impact to us. That's why we dream of them once in a while.

I dreamed about him too some months ago(my ex not yours lol), he came crying to me and said "please come back with me", I don't want to but he insists too much and in the end I say yes. Then I feel horrible and I blame myself for not being strong enough to say no, and thinking how can I get rid of him again. Nice in the morning I notice it's all a dream!
This happens to me sometimes, for example, I was working in a restaurant where I was very unhappy, one day I left the job and I dreamed 2 or 3 times that my former boss came to my house and said "please come work with us again we can't do it without you, we miss you!" then I say yes and I feel horrible for not saying no. That happened twice with my ex boss and once with his wife, both came to my house crying and asking me to come back.
Dunno why it happens but its funny.

I thought you knew my ex.
Your recurring dream is too weird. People are coming to you asking you to come back to them. I think that's something you really want to happen in real life every time someone leaves you or every time you leave someone. No offense meant.

So I guess that's it! You want people to come back to you only for you to reject them! Revenge is sweet! I think that way a lot of times, too.

haha don't worry no offense made. I don't think I want to come back, now I have the best fiancee ever, and I found a job better paid and with less work to do. My ex really came to say he misses me and blah blah blah, but I rejected because there's no point.
And I would not care that my ex boss begs me to work for them again, I'd love to laugh and reject. Mwahahaha.

Maybe it means u will meet him soon again? Recently i have dreamt about a lot of people too and they are not closely related to me, mainly my facebook friends.. haha I'm not sure about why it happened but it was a fast one :) So far, i have not dreamt about any of my ex gfs, no matter how much i missed them in the past. IT's weird isn't it? That's life :)

I have always been curious and confused about dreams and dream interpretations. I have looked at several books trying to see if there is any scientific way to interpret and came to the conclusion we just don't know what dreams mean.
I do think it could be a way of working things out for our subconscious, but I don't think they can be accurately interpreted. Things have different meanings than what they appear to be etc...so I just don't try to figure them out anymore.

Well from he way i understand it you might still have feelings for him, or maybe its still fresh and just stuck in your brain, i have experienced that a few times. This passes and sometimes dreams mean nothing of true importance but yet can be important at the same time.

I'm sure I don't have any feelings for him anymore. It's been years since we broke up and we don't see each other anymore. We're living too different lives now.
