Late I have a feeling that there is no meaning for everything that I have done. I felt that all of the work I have done are not correct and may have contributed to the failure of our projects. How could I rid of this feeling. I am loosing my confidence little by little because i felt that my work (especially in our workplace) is not appreciated.

Maybe it's time to go and do something else. If the projects are failing, why not go and do something that has a better chance of succeeding. Time to move on!

I would love to. But in my company, I am only restricted in doing the project. It is not part of my job description to choose the project that i want to do.

Hi! Remember this saying" success in not in never failing but in rising each time we fall."
You are not alone and a lot of people have experience this too. Just pray to God and surround yourself with people that will support you all the way and you will be able to make it.God bless

Its time for you to move on. I have the same situation and just quit my job. I am now doing what I want with the company that appreciates me. Life is too short to worry about people who are only giving you heartaches or disappointments. Think about doing what you really like.

Well what i really like is to have my own business. But unfortunate as of now, i cannot do this because of lack of funds. I have also tried to apply to other company but the compensation there is lower than what I am receiving right now. I still looking for other company that i can work to so that I could sum up enough money to start food business.

Hi atprudente6 :)
That happened to me a couple of times. I felt empty and I feel like I'm not appreciated. I was planning to change jobs when I felt that way at work, but after a week, my mood suddenly changed so I did not leave the company. I guess it will help if you talk to your family or friends, let it all out.
You can also talk to one of your close colleague who also feels the same way. You will see that your mood will lighten up.
For me, mylot helped me a lot. Whenever I feel down and depressed, I will open my account in mylot and interact with other members. After a day, I will feel okay.

Yeah you are right. I have done the advice you have mentioned above. I have tried talking with my wife about what I have and she has really comforted me.
I could not say that I have completely overcome the feelings I have towards my work and my co-worker but talking to my wife have really lighten up my load. Thank you very much.

Try to see what you've done wrong and then, learn from your mistakes. Boost up your confidence. Think of the positive things you've done there. Of course, there should be some good things you've contributed, right? Keep your hopes up. Be positive. Positivity always helps.

I'd have a simple answer.
Hmmm. "If you want a different result, do something you've never done." It's like, keep on trying. Keep on learning things to help you be better about your work. Be passionate about it. Because as they say, if you're heart's not in it, it won't work.

I think i should re structure my heart. I think you may be right by indirectly telling me that my heart is not in my work. Thank you for the advice.

Talk to someone who can relate to you, like a colleague, or someone close like a bestfriend, sibling, parent or special someone.
It's also important to take a break. If you've been having streaks of failures, take breather. Evaluate what you've done wrong and formulate ways on how you can do better next time.
Also, put this in your head. FAILURE IS OKAY! No successful person today will be that much successful if they didn't fail. You won't learn anything if you don't fail. Have you ever heard of a success story where nothing went wrong? None right? Cause it's the failing that makes us better.
If you need inspiration, try looking for the story of Hershey's Chocolates, or how the Thomas Edison invented the light bulb

Feeling of emptiness is only temporary. U can't let it linger inside u for long period of time because it affects u emotionally and physically. Do take time to relax, get yourself to forget about those negative feelings. What has happen has happened and there's no point in feeling bad about it anymore. Move on and enjoy your work like before again. Remember, u are not the best and thus u failed the project. LEt that be a form of motivation, not discouragement.

Looking back many people think that what they did is useless.
And if it comes to that it will be for most of us. The older we get we learn that we all are replaceable. As soon as you leave someone will take over your place.
As soon you stop doing what you do, people will find someone else to turn to.
The thing about life is to do things you like to do. To educate and improve yourself.
If you look back you should say to yourself: wow I did so many things, I am able to .... and also learned how to ... and I even did ... although I thought I could never do that. What these things are is different for each person. But I do believe that it is way more important to give yourself a good life, to improve yourself as a human being with all your talents as to be good at your work. Sooner or later work is done, then you will ask yourself who you are, what is left from you if your imagine/personality/self esteem/proud is jonly made by the job you did/had.
Go out, meet people, make your life bigger as just your work and project. These are just ways to make a living but it doesn't make you live your life.
Also you should appreciate yourself, that is the only thing that counts.

Thank you for reminding me to look back to those things that I have done right. If I think about it, I have done more things that are worthy in the past. Now is should re examine the methods that I have done before so that I can be more productive this time.

I think that is the sign of changing job. You did not get the satisfactions from your job then how come can you endure it for your entire life ? You boss did not praise your performance and diligent for the company. You did not get reward and respect from your jobs then what the future can you expect ? I believe that if the company was in poor situation, you might be the first to be fired out with no reason. Your manager underestimated your ability and he would keep doing so. Finding another good job or find some way to be obsequious to your boss. Maybe he would reward your compliance.

Hi
I've just been going through the same thing. What can happen is that something can go wrong - mistakes happen - it's part of being human and one of the ways we learn
First thing is to work out what went wrong , learn from it and move on
Keep it in mind if the situation happens again but don't dwell on it because if yu dwell on it you can become fixated on the mistake to the detriment of everything else
Give everything your best and carry on
As the old saying says = "if you fall off the horse get back in the saddle"
To paraphrase Thomas Edison when asked about his 1000 attempts to make a light bulb - " I didn't fail 1000 times , I found 1000 ways that don't work"
Does everyone think of him as the person who failed 1000 times to invent the light bulb ?
Of course not - he's known as the person who invented the light bulb

Thank a lot cyclops. I know that mistakes can help me become stronger and wiser. Right now, I am telling myself that what is happening to me is not really bad. There will be a reason for all of these. And at the end, when I have overcome this feeling, I will be the benefiting from is.
