India England to resume their battle in India.

After thrashing the reigning world champions and No.1 team in test rankings in all forms of the game, at home England have arrived in India to prove a point that they are not only the lions at home but equally good any where in the world including Indian sub continent. Their challenge though will only be limited to O.D.I. series, when they will resume 5 match O.D.I. series in India with a day night match in Hyderabad on 14th Nov.. England are bent upon to prove that they are amuch improved side and can perform in ant condition and on any surfaces but some of the Indian greats including former captain Saurabh Ganguly feels otherwise. They feel England will not pose any challenge to world Champs at home but real challenge will be series Down Under to follow shortly in December. Australians, with their ego bruised badly by this Indian team followed by their arch rivals England in Ashes series, will be itching to go against India and take a revenge. But I feel We have to give equal importance to this series against England to regain some pride we lost so badly in that series in England. What do you feel?

Proper practice, good capitancy and well balanced minds can win any matches. Thats what Indian cricket team have proved to the world in the World Cup. If they regain all this again, Indian cricket team can definitely be a night mare to the England team.

Thank you swaana for your feelings about Indian team. England does not have very good record in Indian sub continent. That was the reason they could not make a mark in last world cup despite having a very good side which defeated Australia in Ashes series. Letb us see how well they play this time around with their morals so high after thrashing India at home.

I predict England will repeat their performance in Indian subcontinent as well. They are the best team of the world right now. But I am anxiously waiting for the 100th century of Tendulkar.

India-England series has started today. India batted first and scored 300 runs with Dhoni and Raina really playing well. England crumbled like a cookie in response to this huge score. They were finally bowled out for 174 to give India a huge 126 run victory.

Judging from the performance in practice matches India does not have much chance. There is no doubt about the batting abilities of the Indian team, there is much to be desired in the bowling department. Though crowd support will be in favor of Indian XI, English team is not made of cowards and they have come determined to show their supremacy. I am sorry for the pessimistic appraisal. It is high time our team proves itself to deserve the praise, past glory and all the best wishes of the fans.

Thank you hanuma for your comments. India home and India abroad are two different games. India home can surmount the best in the business at half the strength where as the same team abroad succumbs to the team half their strength. I am quiet optimistic India will fare much better and come out trumps in a closely fought series. Even in England India did not loose that badly they gave tough fight to English in their own home. It was the interference of rain that prevented India winning at least one match.

I strongly feel that Indians will take a full sweep of England series and answer them a good revenge of their defeat in England. As you said, the revenge may be limited to ODI series but revenge is the revenge, it doesn't have any limits and any such other form. We better cheer up Men In Blue and must give them great josh and full support for their victory.

Thank you anusha for your cheerful comments. Indian team will need that so very badly to cheer themselves up after the thrashing they received from this very team at their home. It is going to be a different ball game though this time around because the battle is shifted to our courtyard. Let us all sit back and enjoy.

It would be a real test for the Indian team as well as MS Dhoni .India will be in immense pressure after the white wash against England team in England soil and if now they loses the series,then its proved that England is far more better team than India.
