hello friends i really love to have tea or coffee multiple times along a day..It's refreshing and is very helpful in making a positive mindset...i used to have tea/coffee right from morning then after meals ,when meet some friends ,when i am free and thinking ,when working on PC ,when studying and on so many such timings....finally my average crosses 6-10 cups a day.........
what are your views regarding this....n much times u have tea/coffee a day???
well i have read some articles which says it is very good to have 4 teas a day and it boosts immune system but more than 4 won't b good...and also some says that don't drink after having meals ...well apart from these facts i think i can't go this way regarding tea/coffee.....what about you????

Hi sumit,
Brain workers need frequent stimulation because too much of brain power gets used up thinking through problematic issues & finding solutions. Those teetotalers may be gloating over their sane & healthy lifestyle but each to their own. I have been using one or either of the two from the time I got into college. I have always fancied high life and go constantly searching for exclusive & elegant types. I like pleasing aroma whether from tea or coffee.
I have been flip flopping between the two. Traditionally, we were tea drinkers at home. Tea of the thick, dark & strong type. My mother was good at making very tasty tea. But for the last few years, I took to coffee due to a feeling I developed that tea was causing distress in my tummy.
I generally drink between 10-15 cups. And I rarely manage a 'no' to an offer!
There are always conflicting views in journals about the good-bad effects. Some advice tea because it contains anti oxidants. Some say black coffee is good. Yet others campaign for light, black tea. I take everything depending upon what is good at the moment!
It may not be a perfect healthy way of life. Yet, it is something that keeps me going. And I try to neutralize it by some counter measure!
Happy drinking.

I had to stop drinking tea and coffee because the caffeine was giving me heart-palpitations. I now drink mostly water and fruit juices. I feel much more alert, without any of the highs and lows associated with caffeine-consumption, but pee more!

I love coffee too, so I drink it everyday..I love having coffee in the morning cos coffee will stimulate my good mood..LOL..if I don't have coffee in the morning I will get little headache, bad mood, so sleepy and low spirit. but I don't dare to drink coffee more than once a day. I have two reasons. first, I have gastritis and as we know coffee could trigger acid production improving and it will make our stomach so painful. second, if I have coffee more than once a day, I will have insomnia then. I ever tried to have coffee in the late afternoon, and I couldn't sleep till dawn..and it hurts more than gastritis..LOL..I do love coffee actually and I want to have it as often as I can, but due to my problems, I satisfy enough to have coffee once a day, in the morning..

I usually have two cups of coffee, the first in the morning and the second after lunch, and a cup of tea in the evening.I don't know why some people that coffee/tea isn't good after a meal be cause I always drink them after eating.Anyway,I can't start my day properly without my morning coffee,it gives me the energy to start a new day,and I think that both coffee and tea are good for our health as long as we consume them moderately.

No coffee.
I drink tea (mug/beker) in the morning about 2-3
In the afternoon the same and sometimes also at night.
That is it.
I don't know what kind of tea you are talking there are all kinds of and black tea is not the same as tea made from herbs of flowers and surely not the same as coffee.

On an average I take 2 to 3 cups of tea a day. I do not like coffee but yet I occasionally take coffee for a change! I can't have more than one cup of coffee even if it was very tasty. Of course, if it is cold coffee, then I can give some more consideration. I believe I will be ready to have 2 glasses of cold coffee a day(until I catch cold!).

I don't drink coffee much or tea, so I wouldn't know how many cups I would take a day. All I know that coffee makes you wide awake because of caffeine. Maybe I should try coffee sometime, lol. I know tea is relaxing.

To tell you the truth, I am missing my coffee. I used to drink at least a cup a day. My acidity attacked a few weeks back; and so I had to cut caffeine for the mean time. Perhaps, another 2 more weeks and I'm good to go!

I'm an occasional coffee drinker.I'm drinking coffee to fight sleepiness, or when I'm feeling lazy to get jobs done. What I knew is 2 cups of coffee or tea a day is the safe margin. Some says 2-4 cups is safe.

yups i searched about it over internet you can have 4 teas a day and its good to health too ....it also depends on darkness of tea it should be average for health purpose...due to presence of anti-oxidants it helps to boost your energy level as well as your body's immunity level....well have a nice day with nice teas..

2 cups tea/coffee a day is good for health.. Anything more than requirement will become toxic to our body. So try to reduce your habit. When you have iron rich food in meals caffeine which presents in coffee/tea will reduce its absorption through your intestine wall. Hence dietitians recommend not to have tea/coffee after lunch or dinner at least for 3hrs after meals. I will have only milk daily.

Guilty.....im a female and i drink coffee. Females drink tea and get to stick their pinky out while enjoying the tea but never heard of it for coffee. Though i love coffee only certain brand is my favourite. Not drinking hot coffee or tea is like the meal is not complete to me, the aroma of coffee after meal is like to seal the meal.

actually I have a habit of having purified water rather than coffee or tea. I can hardly have coffee while sometimes I will attend to tea.

I don't really drink coffee that much, I only take when I am really sleepy because it keeps me awake and energetic.
According to some research drinking coffee is good for our body.
