What if there are really Aliens looking down at us and watching us as we go about our everyday life and what they really think of us.
I personally don't really believe in Aliens but my brain went on over think mode when I was swimming lengths of the swimming pool the other day, I actually swam a whole mile and while swimming up and down the swimming pool so many times I wonder if something alien was looking down at me and the other swimmers swimming up and down what they would really think of us doing it.
I think they would think we were totally mad going up and down the pool and not getting anywhere.
So what do you think if there were Aliens looking down at us they would think about some of the daily activites we do?
AND I SHALL BE BACK TO COMMENT ETC ON THIS!!!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!! LOL

I have been known to lie on the ground for hours at a time (umm ... maybe that's a slight exaggeration: minutes, perhaps, maybe even 30) watching the activities of ants. I'm sure they don't notice me though they may be able to see or feel the heat of something near to them. To them, I am a completely incomprehensible being - an alien - and, perhaps because I am beyond their comprehension, they ignore me.
If I take a stick and gently disturb the scent path they have been following, they are lost for a few minutes until one of them explores and finds the other part of the track. Then they all go back to their little lives, following the highway that their fellows have mapped out so that they can bring back food to the nest.
Sometimes, as I watch, I see them doing things that puzzle me. Why are they doing this thing with their antennae when they meet another ant? Then I realise that they are passing the time of day, just as we do when we see someone we know.
I imagine that, if there are aliens looking down on us, they are doing so with much the same interest and puzzlement and that we, also, are as unaware of them as the ants are of us because they are outside of our limited frame of comprehension.

@ Anne18: I am fascinated by ants, bees and other animals which have a collective lifestyle (including humans). How is it that a bee (or a wasp) can build a perfect hexagon? Have you ever tried to do it (without a pair of compasses)? As a matter of fact, given a fairly level plain and a farming community, humans DO build hexagons. 7.5 miles is approximately the distance in which a farmer can travel to market, transact business and return home in a day. If you look at a map of East Anglia, for example, and mark all the market towns, you will find that they are all about 15 miles apart and arranged in (rather an approximate) hexagonal pattern.
@ alottodo: Owls can even look at things upside-down. This, however, would make drinking cognac difficult, I think. I might need more than one glass to fully come to terms with this.

Yes, they have been watching. And they are very pleased that you have been keeping your body prepared for The Swimming

I'm glad that they would be pleased about my swimming and all the effort I put inplus the fact that once I have swam a mile I have to sit on the side for 10 mins to get my breath and land legs back, else I would fall over if I got out the pool straight away

Maybe some breathing-exercises would help, would increase your lung-capacity and maybe make swimming a little easier, yeah?

I have often thought of how silly some of our goings on would be to a person from another planet. Actually, I believe some of the things we do routinely in my country would be viewed as odd by people in other countries. I know that we eat "outside food" as some of my friends say, when we could have better, tastier, cheaper homemade food. We drive our cars everywhere when we could walk or bicycle, but then we go walk round and round tracks, ride exercise bikes that take us no where and lots of things along that line. If we would just live our life more naturally, we would not have to go do exercises that take us nowhere. Having said that, I am going to eat breakfast and go to the gym to exercise.

I believe there are aliens out there. As what one movie said, it is a waste of space if there are no one living in other planets. Maybe there are watching us from above or even they have planted some cameras so that they can watch us in their home or whatever they call it. Maybe they think we are weird, same as what most of us think of them.

aliens are already found,
but keep it secretly,
and science force us not to believe that they exist....
maybe for future purposes...
Just like the invention of SR71 Stealth Bomber Planes,
revealed in public when a war rises in the middle east....
it is like saying that
"it is hard to wake-up the person pretending that he is already sleeped"

Although I don't really believe in aliens etc I could be proved wrong if you could find one to show me.
Don't believe there is a God.
And there is proof from the past that witches have existed.
But I do like your views and if we all thought the same way it would be a sorry world. Thank you for sharing

I'm really sorry Anne but don't worry your not that important, were not that important in fact the whole Earth is not that important. If you go somewhere without light pollution and look at the billions of stars in the sky you will realise the true worth of everything we hold dear. Even the Earth is only temporary, all be it millions of years.

It's a gag from an old "Twilight Zone" show...Aliens arrive on Earth, bringing a book which,in their language, is explained as "To Serve Man"..Humans think these newcomers just want to be nice to us,help us,take us for rides in their spaceships...The guy working on translating the book comes rushing up as another "Boatload" of folks are getting aboard one of the many ships arriving and taking off with Tourists..He discovered what the book's about.. "It's a Cookbook!"

Good afternoon my dear ShepherdSpy, thank you so much for your wise words and for informing me about the gag from Twilight Zone, as you will have discovered from my comment I had no idea what you were talking about because...... I have never ever watched the Twilight Zone, but I think without you using xray specs you have worked that fact out for yourself, thank you so much for explaining, feel a bit of a fool because I must be one of the very few who don't actually watch The Twilight Zone.

I think if Aliens were intelligent enough to observe you swimming they probably understand about the human body and the need for exercise and might respect you for taking care of yourself
If there are Aliens watching us they are more advanced than we are since we can't yet watch them. Personally I would be excited to know for sure there is other life 'out there'

All is Sacred.
We are all important. And the Earth is important too.
Despite its smallness. Despite our smallness...
We are all inter-connected and related. We are all a part of the web of life... one strand missing, one person missing, weakens and tears the whole web...
When we breathe out our breath nurtures all living things.

Does it matter if someone is looking at you? No matter if it's your neighbour, the president, CIA, a god or aliens? Who says those aliens are not angels or god or .. The fact is we are watched whole time one way or the other.
I don't think this is on any influence on your behaviour or daily scedule. Perhaps there are other life-forms watching us and wondering what we are doing but personally I don't care and won't surely not break my brains about that.

No I'm not going to break my brains about it, just got me thinking thats all.
Yes I agree we are all watched at some point in our lives, just wondered what something else would think of us
OMG there may be other life forms apart from aliens!!! Hope they don't decide to want to come on live on earth, not being unwelcoming ot them but we are running out of space for just us humans

It would be really cool with kids and teenagers. I am also curios if there are really livings on other planet. Maybe there is cause earth has people and maybe they have martians too in mars.Well maybe they think the same way as we do it would be really crazy thing if we got involved on aliens. If the aliens land on earth maybe they will brain wash as and we will be eaten alive!!! (lolz!)

I think they would think we are little ants that they can smush at any time of they tired and that we act and talk weird since we all talk different lauguages out there. That some of the things we do is just plane silly and how do things work this way instead of another.

In my opinion there is a lot of strange and different creatures out there even that they are so much intelligent that us cause apparently they came into our world so many times and we didn't even notice them at any moment in space or another planets or at least that's what the news or powerfuls inform us good luck

Anne18,
Just struck my mind as I read your post here and since they are aliens, they must be wondering why earthlings are taking so much effort to take a simple bath by lapping up the exorbitant sized bath.
Anyway, if there are aliens I would really fancy their mode of transportation and space travel. Not forgetting, that there might be that time machine, which will really be a great way to travel.

Hi Anne, Of course there is life on other planets, it would be ridiculous to think otherwise, but I doubt if they would be very interested in watching us. Of course, those that are more advanced, and many probably are, may be concerned with what we are doing to the earth and to each other right now.Blessings.

It is very likely that you had a lot of beings looking down at you or even directly at you while you were swimming...
We human beings have this little problem of our biology. Our physical bodies are great but they do have their limitations. We do not see as clearly as some animals do. We do not hear as well as some animals do and yet we determine that our world only contains that which we can see and hear.
In many cultures there is this belief that there are Star Elders or visitors from other planets, other diminsions, etc. and that they are our relatives just as our ancestors, those who have already passed on, are our relatives... It is believed, in many cultures, that these beings are watching us and sometimes intervening in our affairs, or even causing mischief if our actions are not good.
I think it is likely that beings from other planets do exist. I think that they do observe and perhaps enjoy looking at humanity. Some may feel love for us, thinking of us as their relations. Some may feel a little parental towards us, as they perhaps are older and more advanced species. Some may look at us and wonder how we are all managing to survive together as we are so diverse and so into our polarities and into our emotions. There may also be others who look at us the same way that we look at our zoo animals. We, I am sure, are pretty funny to look at... and perhaps were we to see them, they would be funny for us to look at too.

Wow, thanks again for another very detailed thought out reply.
Think you as well should go and write a book as you just know soooo much, this has been a very intersting discussion and didn't actually go the way I thought it would but I'm glad it has gone this way rather than a fun flippen way because I'm sure like me oyjrt myloters have learnt so many different views from friends and have been able to look at this discussion in many different ways that we wouldn't have dreamed about.
Many thanks to everyone who replied to my discussion and everyone who left a comment. It has made very good reading and I have enjoyed myself.
